Angry San Francisco dealer going away!

Over the last month I have been working hard on developping a good relatioship with Ellis Brooks Nissan, the only Nissan dealership in San Francisco. They have just completed a few TSBs for me, the last one just this past Monday.

Last night, I received a letter from them informing me that as of July 1st (today), they will no longer be an authorized Nissan dealership...

I can't believe. Just my luck. Now I have no other choice but Serramonte Nissan?

Whoa... I bought my Z from there... I wonder what's up with Bay Area Nissan dealerships lately? First San Rafael Nissan (the dealership that I was going to use for warranty work) and now Ellis Brooks (the dealership that I purchased from).

I am VERY curious as to why they are dropping (or being dropped from) the Nissan manufacturer... sales for the Nissan platform have only escalated in the past couple of years....

serramonte isn't that bad. talk to erwin, he's my service advisor and he's really nice and helpful. tell him michelle sent and i guarantee he will NOT wash your car, but will vaccuum the interior if you want

yeah i agree.. erwin is coo. i only go to him now. the others are just clueless IMO. they never listen to your requests and don't know crap about TSB's, i think his name is Larry and someone else i can't remember. specifically said not to wash my car and still did it anyways, got a bunch of swirls on my SB

I went to help a friend buy another z car. The ellis brooks manager told me that nissan wanted a seperated store front. So they are closing down the stores that can not commit. It makes sense cause if you see most of the dealers remodeling.

I guess with the sales rising they can afford to do that.
