Default FEELER: Alpine 9815 Head unit(AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA/TIME CORRECT)

So, I am thinking of a slight upgrade for my sound system this winter ...

I have a Alpine CDA-9815 Head Unit:

Here are the specs:

60W x 4 V-Drive™ Amplifier
• Bass Engine® Pro
- 6-Channel Digital Time Correction
- 6-Position HP/LP Digital Crossover
- 5-Band Parametric EQ
- Subwoofer Level Control with Phase Selector
- 3-Way or 2-Way Digital Crossover
• Media Xpander™
• XM Satellite Radio Ready
• MP3/WMA/CD-R/RW Playback
• CD Text and MP3/WMA Tag Informtation Display
• 2-Line Color Display
• Quick Search Function
• CD Text, CD Text Display, CD Text Scroll
• Versatile-Link™ Ready
• MaxTune SQ Tuner
• BlackOut Display
• Regulated 1Bit DAC
• 3 PreOuts (4 volt)
• MM Driver (Hard Disc Drive) Ready
• MobileHub™ Ready
• i-Personalize
• Swing Mechanism with Detachable Face
• RUE-4187 Wireless Remote Control Included

Very awesome unit. Sounds amazing, and has tons of features!

I'd be looking for about $250 for this. I could even throw in a brand new METRA mounting kit and a wire harness, prewired for this Alpine to your Z. Plug and Play!

Anyone interested in upgrading their system?

I might be interested. My stock CD player doesn't work very well. Will you install it for me? jk. Seriously I might take that off your hands.

Wow, that looks nice! If I'd've had an Enthusiast, that might've been one of the first upgrades.

I have the same deck . . .it's SWEET for what I need. The 130 mp3's are great for not having to switch CD's. Works great with a sub and also dvd player.

About the nav thing.....you do lose the voice, but that is easily remmidied by a harness that I bought from a forum member. I forget his name, but he is an electrical engineer. It is set so when the voice talks, it mutes the radio and plays the voice through a separate speaker you mount wherever you want. It works well as long as the stereo has the mute function for things like incoming cell phone calls. I have a Pioneer unit and that is standard. I'm sure Alpine has a similar feature. Otherwise, you can just hook a speaker up to to audio output to have the voice and then turn the volume all the way up. Really though, do you always have that annoying voice on?
