Went out for a drive today. Been working too much needed the time.
I was gonna stop by Vakamon and talk with them on pricing. I may just have them do clutch, cams, and valve springs, and Hyper do the Dyno. Been talking with Avalon and they are saying as long as you have some idea of whats going on you can put it together. Might be a pain in the azz but I've done more dificult. I think I will take acouple of days and do every thing.
May get some one to help with the little crap. Mainily the exhaust part and nose reomval.

Just got back from Vakamon and talked to Ross. They are wanting about $2100 for every thing installed with out dyno tune. And about 1 1/2 weeks for instal. I can save some installing the SC, intake,exhaust, safe guard, my self and have them do the rest.

So Tuesday (2 Aug) I went to the court house to get the papers to file a writen statment to keep from having a court date. Got my papers, had them look me up in the system, to see if the fine doubled from being late. Nothing went on my happy way.
Wrote my 2 page statement and just turned it in today the 4th. I give them the paper work and they said, "So you here to post bail for your bench warent?"
WTF!!!!?????
I said I had no clue what they were talking about.
She looked up in the system that my court date was 3 August and I had a failure to apear bench warent for my $160 ticket. HOLY FUKIN ****!!!!! I asked here when they maileed the notice to apear. She looked through a file and said oh we have it right here. IT WAS NEVER FUKIN MAILED!!!! So I ask her how I was supposed to know how or when to show. The stupidest answer in the world rolled out of this Biches face....
"Oh, your just suposed to know, yah. If you come in and just pay the ticket you won't have to apear, yah. It works out." WTF can they grow em any dumber arround here?

You should be fine on your clearance...just make sure u tell when ur 5 year comes up...they dont care on most items if u tell the truth......
Im probably going with either Vortec and using the R4 of Turbonetics with a modified exhaust system soon...but im still looking for a tuner (if VORTECH) that is trust worthy....
Have the cash but still have some details to figure out.....I work on the base...what color is your Z as i have probably seen it.....

Comming back from my vacation Mondy. Looking at doing what I can my self, that way it will save me money for other things. The only things I don't know I can do with out a shop are the cams/springs and fly wheel/clutch. Every thing else yeah I'm going to try.
Yeah help would be greately apreciated, plus the PDF will help with torque specs too. My Z is Daytona blue with the Motegi Teauga w/ 3 in lip, lowered. I work on Hickam and I live up behind pearl country club.
Finaly decided on the second phase, upgraded fuel system (including 660 injectors), 3.917 gears and better rear axels. Maybe the e-manage ultimate (sooner than later). trying to avoid getting my ECU reflashed but I'll need to to get the red line adjusted so might as well get a good rough tune with that and fine tune with the piggy.
Last phase is totaly built bottom end everything but my mama forged, bored and stroked. Throw in a mid to High teens PSI pulley and Ill be done. Looking at accualy racing so I'll do up some sponsorship letters to see what I can get. The fish will not bite the bait if you don't throw it in the water, right?

kewl sounds good man.... I get back from Virginia the 27th of August... im in school right now.....when do you plan to start????? Just let me know I dont do a whole lot since I just got married so I got a lot of free time...LOL

I'm leaving on the 30th for a 2 week trip, the parts are getting shipped at the end of next week or beginning of September. So its going to be the middle of September before I can put things together. Gonna have a several days off so I'll be doing it then. Probably over a few days.

I'll see if I can get a baseline dyno done and one after the all of this phase to see the total gain's. Trying for close to 400WHP as I can with this phase. Keeping the fingers crossed.
When all the to do's get done it looks like I'll have a formatable car for the track.

what Lift are you using????? the Military ones???? My install is planned for October time frame...........as son as I figure out what I want.....Im so indecisive.......not sure about Single Turbo....and get my exhaust Modded or S/Charger..........anyway you should drive my car with my combo before you decide on the 3.917 gears....I have a lot of OOOOM N/A right now......

Yeah, the ones at Hickam are good. Havn't visited Pearls hobby shop so I don't know how they are. I figure with the lifts its gonna be a hell of a lot easier than ground work. It's always easier to wlk arround under the car than to scoot arround on your back. a little safer too.
I chose ATI SC because it was easier to install and maintain, less problems all arround. Also didn't want to get rid of my headers. I need to get a O2 bung welded to the test pipe for the AF guage. Gonna wrap the headers and test pipes to help keep the engine compartment temp down. Not to mention reducing the toasty leg feal.
its just frusterating that I have to wait for all the back ordered things.
As for the gears, want the holy F@ck feal when you stomp it off the line.

It's official, I've p!ssed off my condo managers. The mail room is 7 X 7, yeah kina small. My stuff started to come in early and the little mail room they have is already packed with my crap. Aparently they called my work and told me I needed to come pick up my shipment.
Yeah aint happenin for a week I'm some were south of the equator in the indian ocean.
They knew I was going on a business trip. I tried to get the stuff to come in when I got back, but hey what can I do. It's not my fault it was sent early.
Oh well some will be waiting for me when I get back. I plan on taking a few days and doing every thing but the cams and valve springs. But before I get ahead of my self the rest of my crap needs to come in. They'll be trickeling in like a chick with fistula. If you don't know look it up
redline your offer for help still good, cause I may take you up on it to knock this thing out quickly. 3 days MAX shooting for 1.5 or 2. Then I gotta get it over to Vokamon for Cams, Springs, ECU reflash, and Tune.

Redline, you still got that aftermarket hood thats in your avitar? If so what kind a pain in the @ss was it to get it recon checked? Looking at getting a hood that will allow more flow the the engine compartment to keep temps down.

Emanage ultimate is on the way. So the EFMU so for sale. The greddy will auto tune and has alot of features you need a reflash for. Hell I think the only thing it doesn't have is a service port for BJ's
Hmmmmmm with the UE how do you plan do get it tuned?????? After the install I wouldnt drive an ATI untunned.......
Have you looked into towing costs????? or u know someone?????
50.00 VS 800 install is a big diffrence.....although you may pay a few extra dollars for adjustments if you cant determine if its a clean install......
By the way....Im officially on the list for a Turbonetics ST........mine after urs.....although we may get done about the same time.....

They were quoting me arround $2500 for installing every thing. So I finaly decided to keep my money for the forged engine. I also decided to save the cams/spring for that time too since you have to strip the front of the engine to get to the cam srpockets.
I gotta transfer the heads over I might as well do the cams and spring when its convient. I'll try and work out a deal with company building the engine that if I buy a long block and I send them my cams and springs they can install them on the new build. Also that will save extra $$ then too.
If you don't have to dikc with tearing the heads off the engine swap is really easy. Like a level 1 model, big peices going together. click snap
