Default Fuel Issues

Hey I am having a problem with my fuel tank. Everytime I fuel up, the pump always seems to stop me from fueling as if my car is almost full but when I turn the ignition on, the needle is only just above a half a tank.. can anybody figure out what is wrong with my car.. why is it that it doesn't allow me to fill it up completely..

I think there is TSB for that. Something to do with the shut off valve not working right inside the tank...If your car is still under warranty, take it in to dealer.

The 350Z is not the only one with that issue. The G35's have the same issues..and complaints. However I noticed that it is dependent on which gas station I go to. The nozzles and the ability to release the air inside the tank as the gas is going in would seem to be the culprit. I tried to fill the gas a little slower....and it seemed to work a little...or back of from shoving the nozzle in all the way...so more air can come out.

It happens to me every so often...but I usually watch the amount of gas going in and fiddle with the nozzle a little to let the air escape faster.

Hope that helps a little. Goodluck.

TSB??? Really...oh darn. I need to ask them about that. Thanks.

Thanks for your input but I found that that if i insert the nozzle upsidedown.. I am also able to fill my tank up. You get a lot of weird faces but hey it works. I guess i'll keep on doing this till I get into the dealer...
