SOB nuts and bolts are expensive...
I guess maybe I never realized how expensive hardware like nuts and bolts are, but I just spent $45 on 10 ss nuts, bolts and washer:O I mean I'm sure they are high grade stuff since I got them from Hawaiian Nuts and Bolts, but geez. Is that what everyone else pays? I think I need to checkout ACE Hardware or something cause that just doesn't seem right. I mean I'm not just being cheap right?
This all happened to me with at City Mill. Once I couldnt find the price, got lazy, and just wrote down a price. No problem. One time, was buying bolts, a bunch, like 10 or so, and the lady rang me up for 3, no problem. And once, I threaded nuts and bolts together and they only rang me up for bolts, no problem.
I only noticed after I paid, no wonder it was cheap.
My friends consistenly grab SS nuts/bolts and price mark them as galvanized steel ones. The cashiers straight up can't tell, or don't give a rats @$$, I suspect both.
Its 330am, I'm tweaking.

Not sure what you're looking for (e.g. what grade, since we're talking about automotive use) but Kilgo (Sand Island Access Rd.) might be a good place to check out. They have a large selection of hardware. May not have the grade that you're looking for though.
I don't know anything about the place you mentioned, Hawaiian Nuts and Bolts. Where's that?

geez al, 3:30am? musta been some night huh?
I need these for my crawford cats so there should be pretty high grade right? hawaiian nuts and bolts are in mapunapuna and they are said to be the only store here that specialize in nuts and bolts. do you know if kilgo would have automotive grade nuts and bolts? thanks.

yeah, too bad they probably won't be around for that much longer. on a side note, never assume info you get online is correct. I ended up having to buy the screws again b/c 10Mx20mm (which is the length I found on numerous DIY write-ups) wasn't long enough for the install of the HFC's...oh well.
