Hey Everyone,
I'm going out to Maui and the Big Island on the 6/16 and was curious if there are any places to rent Zs. I wish I could bring mine and drive it to Hana, but that's not going to be realistic. Right now, I have a Mustang reserved at one of the car rental places (Puke) but it's really the best I could do, unless I wanted to shell out $$$$. Any suggestions? Thanks,
Dan
P.S. I have a feeling I'm going to end up quitting my job and moving out there...haha

can't say for sure, but hertz might be the only place that does it. I think they're the ones with that new rental program where you can rent Z's and H2's, etc. maybe the maui folks can chim in.
All the Maui folks who watch this forum already own Zs, so I kind of doubt that they'll know if you can rent one. What you could do is check out the Maui phone listings and call the rental companies to see if they rent Zs. Offhand, though, I can't remember seeing any rental Zs.
On a different note, if you're on Maui on the 16th, you should come hang with us. We can watch FF3 or something

Hahaha....Thanks for the replies. You guys think this is the same situation in the Big Island?
As for FF3, I CAN'T WAIT for it to come out. It's going to be really fun going to edmunds.com and seeing our car value drop in real time. As I tell myself though, they did use an S2000 as one of the lead cars in FF2 and those seem to still hold value

Ok...just got back from Maui and the Big Island...wow. You guys living out there are lucky muggs....
I'd be driving to Haleakala or Hana every other weekend. I live in Florida and our roads here are absolutely boring (straight as a ruler....). I'm seriously considering a move to the islands but its going to take some planning.

When I was working on Maui, I don't recall seeing any of the major rental companies that offered a Z for rental. You might be out of luck on the Z rental. Even if it is available it's going to be costly.
I believe there is a rental company out in Kaanapali that rents exotics, maybe one of the other guys knows the name?
