After my Awsome toilet wrestling match in Japan I finaly made it home. Yeah thats where the fun ended.
My car wouldnt start, and after talikng to the guys at work it was that way for almost 2 1/2 months. WTF
So I find the problem, its that damn safe guard! When I tucked the wires one of the power wires grounded out after rubbing a hole in the sheathing. Removed that got all the wires together quickly and got her to start up.
I noticed it was starting real hard and took a while to crank. So its running now rough but running. Then I smell fuel, ALOT OF FUEL. I walk to the back of the car and gas is pouring out the left tail pipe and puffs of white smoke rythmicly comming out. I walk over to the front of the car check out the bay. There is a ticking comming from the left bank (drivers side).
YEAH NOT FUKIN GOOD AT ALL! I shut the car down so not to wash the berings on the turbo or the cylinder. Then I call Seth up. Im droping the car off Thursday and they are going to do a leak down test to see if it is a stuck valve.
Either way next week I have to put in an order for a built engine. I was kinda pressed into this now so I realy dont have the opprotunity now to decide whether its a bike or an engine. So now I'm pressed into finishing, So I am doing the engine, clutch, diffy, and halfshafts all at once. That would leave the only BBK and a few little odd and end things.
My car seems to be like Steven Kings "Christine" She has had her own plan and time line on when she wants to be done and what she wants on her... I think I am going to name her Jenna. Yeah thats a good name for the car Jenna.

Nah this isnt a turbo problem, I have my suspitions. I think it was more neglect, but I cant prove it until I get the engine broke down. I think they let it set for months and hard reved it after it was sitting so long. When they tried to jump it they did what every one else did and pushed the revs trying to juice up the battery.
Before it died, it started just fine and there were no issues then after it died and set for 2 1/2 months they hard reved it. When every thing was dry they pushed the engine too hard. But I realy cant tell until Sonic's does a leak down and they builtzmotors does a breakdown.
But take it with a grain of salt right now because its more of a pissed rant and trying to find out whats going on.

Yeah this kinda forced my hand on the whole engine build. But I will at least get it done sooner.
Hey I'll be up in E-town next friday. Been like 3 years since I've seen my family.

Sorry. Maybe we can hook up for a beer or something if the wife will let me out of the house.

Due to my work schedule I was not able to drop my check or parts in the mail for the build but its going out UPS tomorrow at lunch. I switched the Cometic head gaskets and to the HKS metal gaskets and Im contemplating the ARP half inch studs.
I'll do a little searching tonight and see the pro's and con's and make a decision tomorrow.
