The big thing I noticed with major installs is the plasebo effect. Some thing sounds diffrent (even though nothing is wrong) So some thing has to be wrong. Even though the sound was there before, for some reason it sounds more pronounced.
The smoking for a new breakin is normal the wheels noise, well thats a toss up.
Here is the trick I found with the Auto pillar trip guage pods. Clamp the old A pillar to the new A-pillar and heat it up. The new plastic will conform to the old style. Once cooled bond the 2 A-pillars together. That should do it for that. Mine only decides to move when some one decideds to move it for me. AKA Grab the pillar while getting in/out of the car.
