Default rr_z33 has a couple new toys installed

AAM Spec Fuel Return System - Basic
and
AAM Spec 3 in. MaxFlow True Dual Exhaust (Titanium)

I personally love the look and sound of this exhaust. It sounds and feels like a completely new beast.
Will get pics up later once i find my camera.

I thought it would be difficult for the fuel return system even though it is the basic one (no rails). Other than that i think anybody that puts a little elbow greese and has a little basic knowledge will have no problems installing their own. It was a little pita to run the return line up and over the gas tank. hope you enjoy your new mods once you get it tuned ryan. peace

hmmm 3" you say . If it was the same Z I rember at Sonics MUCH better than what was there before.

I forgot is Ryan built or not? If not then he may not take full advantage of that 3" dual exhaust.

Whats his intended power goals? You may want to have him look into the full return system, it flows sooooo much better. Then again see built motor comment above.

Interested to see how his car runs and dynos out at.

Damn! Now we can take NO retribution on him and he's free to run amuck and tell people off. All else fails we can make him buy 89 geo metro hatch back when he gets there. That way no one will believe the tails of getting rid of a sweet car just to move to another island.

Anything over 400WHP and you get closer to the stock engine boom category. Your car will be OOC for a while in Hawaii if that happens. Your looking at about 8-9K to get a built block ship'd to Hawaii and installed. Thats if you still have a usuable core tho.

it wouldnt go past 30mph? how about when you freely rev it will it stop at a certain rpm? Is your cel on? if it is i would suggest scanning it asap so you can find the root of the problem. sounds like it went into limp mode. must of touched something other than the exhaust somehow. Details please.

is check engine light on? cause that would be your best bet in locating your problem.

i could just build my own motor then since i already have pistons and rods. I wonder what machine shop on the island could do the sleeves and studs? Nice setup btw!

That would be um a yes and no. I had conrods, pistons, cams, +1 valves, valvesprings, valve guides, ti retainers, and high angle locators and it was still cheaper for me to sen the engine off island to get built. The machine costs on island are freakin redicilous. So I wouldnt recomend it unless you have a major hookup. A few shops I talked to wanted $4000 alone for machining heads and thats no assembly. Sicne you got a shop that doesnt matter on your end.

But IMHO I suggest getting one built they are fairly cheap considering most have warrenties now. And thats a good thing because you **** it up and it your dollar on your build. If you **** it up on their build its their dollar. They machine and produce hundreds of engines, long and chort block; so you just cant beat that experience. During that time you can focus on other aspects of the car.

The quickest way to minimize down time is to pay the core charge, have the engine shipped that way the car is down for a week oposed to sending you block in machining and sending it back. That will take several months (almost 2 on shipping alone).

BuiltZ is pretty damn good and they have good customer service. Look through some of my posts whoe's about the engine. They realy took care of me and any problem I had.

IEDIT: I dont think I would trust ANY machine shop on island to time cert the block for any sort of studs more less sleeve it. Go with a professional or your gonna be out a block and $$$.

I got a fairly decent price on my block from builtZ as well.
