Man why did USAA charge you. The wind shield is covered uner a river safety clause and should be covered with out a deductable of ANY sort. I took a bolt to my window and it chipped up. Since they dnt want it spidering they said they would cover 100% for a mobile crew to come out and repair the chip.
I've had frieds inthe past that were not too bright and tried to defrost their windshield with real hot water when it was 10 deg's out. Yeah that **** went poof with a quickness. They called it in and with in the day they had a new windshield. Several other stories of spidering and partial cracks. Botom line is if it is in the drivers field of vision (and below the ASI line) then its their responsibility to fix it.
Id raise a stink. I've never had to pay for windshield through UAA.
