Default I know 1 thing...

it's gonna be a blowout vs. Florida. It's like somebody died or something... a state funeral. Incredible. Everyone seems to be expecting mediocrity. I'm normally impartial to UH, but Jones not on the sidelines will seem a bit weird after only 9 years. The only thing about reaching such a high, is the lows that come after it. It's gonna be low.

IMO, only Norm Chow can fix this.

it would take a miracle for us to get Norm Chow but I'd be the biggest UH football fan ever if we pulled it off. Come back to SC Norm! I hate our new offensive coordinator.

haha yah I know he was at BYU first, I won't admit it in public but I'm a punahou alumni too.
But like I told my coworkers today, you know what he never got at BYU or the Titans. A national Championship! Thats all SC baby!

I don't think we could afford Norm and we'd need to come up with some major incentives to get him. That being said, I'd love to see Norm come down here.

Wasn't Norm there in 84 with McMahon? I thought BYU got their national championship at that time?

holy crap i stand corrected. I thought he was still getting his doctorate in education in 84, but apparently he started coaching in 82.
We could totally afford him tho, he makes 1 mil a year at the titans and apparently we were offering June Jones 1.5. I still don't think he'd wanna come though.

^^^Sadly I'd agree that Norm probably wouldn't want to come back. Even though UH is as good as it's ever been, it'll be an uphill climb. Plus no matter what the Governor, State Senate/House, UH Chancellors say it's all political BS. How many years did June ask for improvements to the system and facilities (even proposals at his own expense) and nothing happened?

UH peeps suck.

I just spoke to Norm's 1st cousin who lives in Makakilo... went to fix one of his appliances... what a coincidence, but he told me that he ain't coming down... and yeah, he did mention he was there when McMahon was in school in '84 for their "National Championship." I watched that game way back when, when they beat Michigan in the Holiday Bowl.

Maybe Duane Akina... one of the coaches from TEXAS.

Kevin Gilbride (NY Giants coordinator) would be good... a guy with NFL ties like June... who was also an NFL coach (I believe it was San Diego)... like June... and has island ties... like June.
