My motor for sale out of the car for 3k needs new head gasket. if you want a new head gasket in it itll cost a little more labor/parts. but lmk. needs to be gone asap.

im interested Ryan. are you just selling the shortblock or the rods and pistons to build it? what'd you put in the car when you took this one out?

 

its an assembled short block. im putting a stocker back in

So it was a blown head gasket then? Which side? I'll aska few friends about the short block to see if they would be interested. You got feelers out on forumshawaii yet? Several 240 guys were tossing the VQ35 idea arround.

WOW that takes talent to blow both head gaskets. They must have used the OEM gaskets. Did you upgrade to the L-19 head studs at least? In the future if you want to build HKS laminated Stainless Steal haed gaskets are rock solid. Sorry to hear your are out of commission man, I'll ask arround to see if any one wants it.

It did have HKS head gaskets. But they were used that ryan purchased off a member here. Yea he used L19s. I told him it wasn't a good idea but ryan being the stubborn (brokeass) he was insisted. Well on to bigger and better things now heh ryan?

 

IMHO USEING USED HEAD GASKETS IS LIKE USING A USED CONDOM.... NO MATTER HOW WELL THE JOB WAS DONE BY YOU; YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH SOME ONE ELSES HEADACHES LATER!!!!!
