Anyone try to put an 06.5 (or above)headlight housing in an 04? I went down to my local dealer ship and took a look at the 08's. They look about the same as far as bolt up locations. Not to sure bout the wiring tho. Any help would be really appreciated. I'm not happy with the 04 HIDs seems that the horizon is to low, and its really hard to see.

 

Housing? Or the entire headlight? Do a search there's several people who have done it and posted pics. I know, because I was one of them. lol

mines is a base 05 Z...so i got my 06 headlights rewired from clearcorners.com

 

i put kamu's 03 headlights on my 06, and the blinkers started getting all funky on me. I believe rewiring is a must.

 

Damn daniel what up mang? For real the blinkers started acting funny? Your headlights never gave me a problem yet.?

 

You do not use one of the wires in the 03-05 models. I made my own harness using computer wiring parts. Just trace the wires from each bulb and you will know what each of the pin-out is. There is 1 wire that is not used and everyone seems to make this mistake. It causes the blinkers to light up and not function properly. In the 05s there is I believe 1 less pin I forget I did the swap back in 06.

 

i didn't care about mine. My Z was gone about 2 days after that. Whoever bought my nismo v1 side skirts was at my station when these 2 big f*ckers came to pick up my Z. I didn't have time to take off my nismo V1 bumper and sell that either.

So is your Z boosted again yet. I'm coming back in the club in a few months with a new Z, and i'm not f*cking around with small power this time . I hope you're ready do some some work??? hehe.... shoots bro, take care..

can you elaborate on this "computer wiring"? what did you use exactly?

 

from what i remember the guy telling me....on the 06 stock plug there is 8 and on the 05 there is 6...as for the wiring...it has to be rewired...try and check out that clearcorners.com and work something out with them...they are pretty good...
