Default 350Z or 370Z???

Ok. I have a 06 350Z base. Haven't done anything to it except changed the cd player and replaced the rear speakers. I really like the new 370Z. I almost traded my Z in for it. I was going for the base sport package but in the end it was just too much. I would end up spending over 40,000 on the car. So I figured I rather spend it on my 350 maybe invest in an APS turbo system. What do u guys think?

i'm sure they were offering you a terrible trade in price for your 06 too. Whether you want to upgrade to an 370 or not is up to you but I would wait for the second or third year as they usually work out some of the kinks in the first couple years.

thanks, that sounds like a good idea. So in the meantime do you have any suggestions to what I should do first for performance upgrades? I'm new to this. The 350z is my first sports car.

that's the dealership for you. they had the msrp right but then they added a mark up then interest rate and after taxes and warranty package, yeah over 40,000. don't worry that's too much for me anyway, i'll probably end up getting a used one down the line if i still decide to go 370. Does anyone know of a custom audio shop here in oahu? i want a system but i don't want to just put a box in my trunk.

$40k sounds a little too high for a base + sports package...unless you went to Tony Nissan! LOL "All of our cars have a 6k mark up!"

Anyway, if you really want it then yes...wait. If you want to upgrade based on its engine....trade your 06 in for an HR. You can easily get those gains with simple bolt-ons and good tune.

if you want a 370z head over to King Windward they'll give ya a good deal i'm sure. Also for car audio Security and Sound is far and away the best but also the most expensive. Still, they're the only car audio place i trust here. Their owner Kent has won awards as one of the nations best installers by magazines like performance auto and sound (or whatever its called i don't follow the car audio mags) like 8 times, and they won best car audio shop (nationally) last year. Go in and check it out, they've got all the awards and magazines on the wall.

look at it this way. 350z turbo prices, $4500 - $8000. 350z HR $10000 +, 370z $arm and leg. stay with ur z and mod it. way better than doing mods on a brand new car for the warranty to go away!!! my 2cent

Default Keep it!

I have an 08 Nismo, and as much as like some of the differnt features of the 370 you can spend a fraction, and get better performance! GTM has a TT Stage II setup that they will install...Complete with EVERYTHING you will need for your car....a price tag of 10K. When i spoke with them, they will additional upgrades to your car while they have it torn apart for a fraction of the price. Keep it!
