Default coming to hawaii

My friend and I will be coming to ohau in a few months and I was wondering what places would be cool to check out while we are there? I know nothing about the area so I am pretty clueless on what there is to do there.

down town kaikiki beach, its real touristy though. Go to the North shore, beaches there are real nice also. Pearl Harbor, if your into history. And many other spots. Checkout the Pali highway, a few nice view spots off that road.

I think he means Waikiki Beach. But yeah, if you want the touristy/hot spots they're in Waikiki. It all depends on what you want to do, though. There's surfing, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, lots of places to go hiking and there's drink specials every night of the week at various bars and clubs in Waikiki. North Shore has some really big waves this time of year, definitely a sight to see. What part of Oahu are you coming to?

cruise over to the East side driving up to Sandy Beach, go past Makapuu Beach, and Sea Life Park, and at least know which house was "the Magnum PI" house where Tom Selleck shot, even though its just a driveway covered by foiliage now..

I don't know what part of ohau we are going to. My friend is the one who is figuring all that out. I'll have to ask her. We are both pretty much into doing anything, mainly since we havent been there before! thanks for the info, kinda seems like theres a lot to do there!!!!

It doesn't really matter what part of Oahu you are staying at, the island isn't that big, most tourist stay in Waikiki though. Besides the beaches, hiking could be an option, there are lots of trails. Check out this thread, could be helpful:

Hanauma Bay
Hiking
Day fishing trip (but I'd really opt for Big Island if you want to do that)
Dive tour
Ala Moana/Waikiki beach
Shopping at Ala Moana

Yeah you could ask on Forums Hawaii too.
