It'd be a great place to organize meets.

Because you don't have the Z population that you did back here on the East Coast...

Hi Andrew, are you all settled out there? We New Englanders are putting together a meet this winter and were hoping that you would be willing to host it out there.

How about dropping by on the Eastern board and include some pictures of the island and your car. I'm sure everyone would really get a kick out of that.

Any of you guys see the Yellow Z at New City? You can see it if you drive by, it's parked near the road.

I haven't actually stopped in to take a good look at it, but it looks pretty good.

While you're there, walk to the Porsche dealer and check out the new 997's and GT3's they have there. Wow!

i saw a yellow z over at king nissan. i heard that tony's had a yellow roadster. not sure if it is still there.

drew, havent heard from you in a while.

stu and drew, our next big thing is the toys for tots next month. it will be november 28th. can you guys make it? it seems that we will be going out with the z club of hawaii, not the 350z club.

so the 240zs and the 300zxs will be there too.

I've been pretty busy at work, had some personal issues also. Has yellow been announced as a new color and I'm just out of the loop and don't know? I know I haven't been keeping up, but that's really crazy.

Keep me informed for a meet, I'm definitely interested. It would give me some incentive to actually wash the car, it's totally filthy.

wow, you really have been out of the loop!!

yeah, yellow is the new color for the year. liquid aluminum was the color for last year... and is now gone.

so the toys for tots is on the 28th of november.

kind of a last minute thing, we went to the drag strip last weekend. we all did crappy because the weather was too humid. i wanted to see what gains my mods did. well, i ran a tenth second slower.

Hey, I'm definitely still in for a drag strip run. Having never actually run on a strip before, I'm pretty sure I'd have some unimpressive times.

Finally got the car detailed. Too bad it rained for the next 3 days. Also, for the few hours the sun was out, I went to Lanikai beach so the interior has sand in it again. Oh well, the car looked nice for a few hours.

I'm now running with HI plates. After being pulled over for having expired CT ones, I finally gave in to the rainbow.

not sure when we are going to the drag strip as a group again. if you ever want to go, let me know and i can go with you. i wouldnt mind seeing if the humidity really was the reason for our crappy times the other night. maybe this friday? lmk.

oh, btw we are having a small get-together on sunday at the airport jamba juice. we are going to do a short cruise to hawaii kai golf course to have lunch. if you are interested in going, we will be there at 10:30 am.

I'm available this friday (the 12th) in the afternoon. I'm also free on Saturday for the whole day, then next friday (the 19th) for the whole day.

How many people show up to the drag strip? I assume you do not need a helmet?

Oh, by the way, which dealer do you consider best in terms of service? I should probably get the Z tuned up at some point.

i would guess about 40-50 people show up to the track... i am bad at guessing the number of jelly beans in the jar type-contests. although if you go early you can get in a bunch of runs before most of the people show up. otherwise, you are just sitting in line waiting forever for your turn.

you dont need a helmet unless you go 13.99 or faster... or if you have a convertible also, since it will be your first time at this particular track, you will have to go through a quick and easy orientation... you read about the christmas tree and then they will take you down the track in one of their cars and show you the procedure and exit and stuff.

i am almost positive that i can go with you to the strip this friday. i suggest we get there about 630 pm. so we have time for you to do the orientation and still get a bunch of runs in before the rest of the people come.

as far as the service department, i would suggest going to new city nissan. only because i have heard that tony wasnt that good and was also hard to get an appointment. king... i dont know anything about their service dept.

Moving to Honolulu in the end of December, many Z owners out there? My Z will follow me in January.

Side bar, where is the better place to live? In Honolulu to beat the traffic the oposite way morning and evning or out where its cheaper and fight the traffic to Hickam AFB?

aiea, salt lake, pearl city are very good places near Hickam AFB. I live about an 8 minute drive to Hickam's front gate. Are you going to be with the 15th or PACAF? I'm in the Air National Guard. They are doing some construction so getting around Hickam takes a while.

punish_her. i believe i was just told at our last club meeting that there were about 500 z's registered on oahu. they are still a bit rare, but i am seeing them more and more often on the roads now. fortunately, i rarely ever see any other ragtops.

now g35s... those things are crawling all over the place.

pm me or fdao when you get in town.
