That first shot, she looks like she was AWFULLY CLOSE to the lens. I was shooting my nephew, who's about 1 1/2 years, and he kept reaching for the lens when I got close. Smudges on lens:
BTW, finally got the SKYPORTS on order, so I'll get the chance to try the strobes on the car again, and try some of your pointers.
Ok so I'm nowhere near a photographer and I personally think I suck at taking pictures but I really like the way this one came out. Can anyone give me any advice on how to improve the picture? Anything I can change to make it look better? I'd appreciate any input, even if its bad...thanks!

I make sure there's a UV lens when I'm using the 16-35 lol She does the same thing, always trying to grab the camera. She's probably 5-6 inches away in that picture.
It took about 20-25 practice shots to get the distance and angle correct with strobes, but once you get it down, it's pretty easy after that. You'll learn how to minimize the reflections on the paint by knowing where to angle the strobes and anything that does shop up probably can be removed from post processing.
