Hi everyone. I think this is my first post in this thread.
I have never owned my own camera and certain ideas and events that will take place have lead to where I am now which is purchasing time.
My requirements for the most part will be quite low. I wanna start my own Youtube channel which will primarily focus on gaming but that will be done with capture cards. Other avenues will be pictures and video of my cat (who is hilarious), my GF (who is beautiful), pictures of interesting places or things, video of these places or things, getting mounted on to my Z for track events or nice spirited driving and so on.
A co-worker of mine wishes to sell his barely used (wiring, booklet, software is all unwrapped) Panasonic ZS-7 12.1 megapixel, 720p video camera (Lyca lense). He is offering the camera and a carrying case for $150. I personally think it will fit my needs and possibly exceed them but I am not well-versed in the world of photography hardware. As such, before I pull the trigger, I am wondering if there are other ideas for other manufacturers. To help keep this concise, I really don't want to spend more than $200 on my first camera.
Any help as to other options from other manufacturers would be greatly appreciated.
