You don't need the cable. Just set it on a tripod, make any adjustments necessary. Finally, use the timer so when it snaps, you're not touching the camera. Don't worry too much about these negative comments. It just makes them feel better when they can talk down to a member that has spent less $ on a Z.

The thread was about his new camera. It just so happens that this is predominantly a Z forum so the OP used his Z for the samples. This whole thing could've been avoided if people didn't have A.D.D. & stayed on topic.
