Olympus Camera's
Does any one use any of the Olympus DSLR's such as the 420 or 510??
THANX
Really looking for my girl friend she wanted a smaller camera that she could handle and felt the Rebel X series was a bit too big for her.

There is a good deal on the E-510 with two lenses for $650 at B&H though.
Not to mention most of the lenses are weather sealed and you don't read too much bitching about the Zuiko lenses.
OK, great deals on the new e-520 with 14-42mm lens for $560.
I've been shooting with Canon for the past 2 years (XTi & 40D), and with the experience gained, have decided to add the e-520 to the arsenal. I believe this is the perfect DSLR to get started on... considering the price, size, and sensor stabilization.

Loving the E-520. Shot with 14-54mm Zuiko, which is weather sealed for under $400!
Looked at the old shots, and I felt I could improve on them... so I went back for the zillionth time.

Olympus E-510 vs Canon 40D... a quick observation.
+ Sensor Image Stabilization, though not as aggressive as Canon's in-lens design.
+ Tons of menu options to customize the camera to your shooting habits.
+ Multiple ways to adjust settings.
+ Grip is great for my hands.
+ Size of camera and lenses compact, and great for traveling.
+ Great bang for buck.
- Shutter seems slightly delayed, the Canon feels more responsive.
- High ISO noise not as good as Canon
- Customization of camera may confuse beginning photographer, although the scene modes automize things to P&S levels, like all other dSLR's.
- Battery takes 5 hours to charge.
