Default Photoshop

looking into getting photoshop and not sure which one to buy. I use my moms camera(its a really nice camera, but not sure which one, i will check when i get home.) but i take a bunch of pics of my friends cars adn my car. Last year i took a Macromedia fireworks course(fireworks is photoshop but mostly used for computer viewed images). Its a lot similar but i will get a few books to help me along the way. I dont do anything professional but i want the program. I know i dont need anything like the CS4 because thats crazy expensive and way out of my price range and has too much stuff i will be paying for and not using.

so my question is what photoshop would you recommend for me getting??

dont you think you answer your questions yourself?

you dont want to pay for CS4. its 600 bucks.

you definitely dont want to pay for CS4 extended which is 900 bucks.

light room is 300

and elements is 140.

they all offer something different and the more you pay. the more you get.

so the only advice is to look at your wallet.

since your just getting into photography.. why even bother wondering which photoshop program to get.

learn about your camera, settings and taking a picture.

Dude, "creationengine.com" $250 for CS3 extended. You just have to prove your a student. Send them a copy of your class schedule and student I.D.
