The Canon Talk Thread- All Things Canon Related!
good question, i was (and still am for a few more weeks at least) shooting local sports, the sensor size helps by simulating more zoom than i actually have due to the "crop factor". plus 8fps vs my current 2.5 means the difference between getting a good shot and getting a great shot when shooting burst mode. plus 6400 ISO useable images means i don't need my flash, even with my f/4 zoom. i have since decided to keep my 5D and just save for the 7D as my 2nd body. think that's a knock out combo till I can drop the coin for a 5dmkII later on down the line

true but the 1ds is way too heavy for rig shots of cars which i am hoping to get into soon. 5Ds max ISO is 3200 and its a little grainy but i can still use it for the newspaper, from what i have seen so far the 7Ds 6400 will be usable as well

Newish T1i owner and loving eveyr minute of it. Right now I have the kit lens and the nifty fifty. I'm ordering my tripod and head next week along with Canon EF-S 55-250 f/4-5.6 IS "nifty two-fifty" and eventually some sort of fisheye.. Here's a few more pics from the other day

No tripod so the waterfall pics for the most part didn't come out to what I wanted but made the best with what I had.

No kidding. I was surprised by the quality of the image. I spent hours looking through the "nifty fifty" thread on POTN and those basically made up my mind. It's also very user friendly out of the box and even though the lens itself is a bit cheap, I'm happy with it and so far is the best bang for the buck when it comes to lenses. I feel no need to even upgrade to the f/1.4 anytime soon. I will also be picking up the 55-250 f/4-5.6 IS when I pick up the tripod.

been reading alot and cant wait to put it to use. no to find a good telephoto lens, any suggestions?
