Default No AlienBee for me =(

Because I just ordered a White Lightning X1600.

Congrats! Since they're a bit larger than the Bees, just keep an eye if you extend it high on a stand as it won't be as steady. I'd sure like a set of the X3200 strobes.

Word! I'm going to be booming it on the Manfrotto 085BS.



I haven't bought any stands yet, but when I do, they will likely be the PCB 13' stands as they can support the largest load and seem to be of the widest footprints.

I have full confidence and no doubt this this boom/stand rig will support my X1600 + 22" beauty dish or 30"x60" softbox! This thing is hardcore! No wonder it costs $350 (including shipping).

Should be pretty sturdy with the BD, but you might need some weights when using the softbox.

You should have let me know I have two Manfrotto SUPER Booms (msrp $500 each) I'm trying to get rid of! I went from two Photogenic Solair 1000s and the superbooms to some really compact stuff! Can't handle the big equipments on location

^^^Yah, I got the X1600 on Friday. But I got a defective unit (of course). Spoke with Customer Service today and they are sending me a new X1600 via UPS 3 day select.
