That's an expensive program to buy without any prior knowledge. Maybe you should invest in a Photoshop for Dummies book or something... There's a lot to know

I've got Photoshop CS. I taught myself what I know without having any prior photoshop or photo editing experience....

I'll work on a detailed write-up for color change tonight for you dude! Any picture in particular you want done?

Thanks man! I don't have any picture in particular just looking to mess around with it and help some people on this board out when they need it. I just like messing around with the looks of my cars.

Thanks syf0n, but I will never find the time to read that. I don't want to become a pro, just do the basic color changes and overlapping image type stuff.

That book is for CS2, there are new features and features that are differently applied in CS2 versus CS.

None of them matter in regards to basics, such as hue/saturation adjustment, levels, adjustment layers, etc. You could always buy the obok for the CS version anyhow.

True and correct. Still probably a lot of information that would scare him, assuming that he's just looking for the basics.

You select the area(wheels) > Layer > New Adj. Layer > Color Blance > No changes Click Yes> Fool around w/ the colors till you get what you want

It's good to use lots of layers.
Click Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Hue/Saturation (Call that layer whatever you want)
Adjust the hue bar until you get the color of the car that you want.
Fill in the mask to hide the color adjustment.
Tweak that mask to show the color adjustment.

Mat the still unrecognized Photoshop Guru
