Wow this thread is great! I just got photoshop and I cant figure out how to do anything, but this helps. Thanks alot for posting!!!

i dont have photoshop on my girls laptop i was wonder if anybody could resize a pic to 560 x 255 for me could be sweet if its not to much of a hassle..

whenever I have something highlighted and the lines are moving, I try to copy and paste it but it says I can't copy it because the highlighted area is empty, what do I do?

Make sure you have the right layer selected... if it's the background.. and that's the only layer, try double clicking the layer in the layers list (usually lower right hand corner).. this will change it from a locked background to an actual layer.
