Default photoshop upgrade

not sure if this is the right forum but...

I just switched to a Mac from PC and I want to get photoshop but i cant justify the 650+ for a complete version. Does anyone know if its possible to load an old version like 2.0 or 5.5 and just buy the upgrade of CS2 or CS3?

I think 5.5 is too old to do the upgrade. 2.0 is definately too old.

It is...you don't even need to load it, just buy the appropriate upgrade and punch in the ID when asked for it I believe, but always good to have the physical disk on hand.

I actually have a few old versions sitting around from my former employer. They were going out of business so I purchased a lot of hardware and software from them with the plan to sell the software licenses I didn't need on ebay. Let me do some research and maybe we can work something out.

Welcome to the Mac b.t.w. you'll never look back!

Looks like you can upgrade from Photoshop Elements 3, 4, 5, or Photoshop LE to save $100 or upgrade from Photoshop 7, CS or CS2 to save $450.

I can sell you Photoshop 7 for $150 plus shipping, so you save $300. I have multiple disks and licenses if anyone else is interested.
