I have been working on a build for some time now and still waiting for the Cosworth Cams.......due in "November/December" The plenum was indicated to be available "December/January most likely the latter". Latest conversation........."look, realistically it will be July after all we are still tooling" I question the "tooling". Does he mean "tooling around" (an expression in Australia for wasting time) or preparing for manufacture? Still no cams available.............the New Zealaned manufacturer of the Cosworth cams must be tied up with some sheep! I went with the JWT cams and APS plenum (ho hum) and now I can't get the APS strutbrace. Yes folks this is a simple engineering problem and yes they are manufactured here in Aus (as far as we know, I suspect Taiwan) and yes its at least one month for delivery X factory!

I'll probably drop myself off the list at this point. My SSV might get knocked all the time but I'm making the power I want and it's had so much work done to it with extra sensor taps, it's just not going to be worth it for me to replicate that on the cosworth and drive back to CA to get retuned
I'd love to see it gain 20 hp over the SSV, but everyone is really just guessing.
I know the cosworth has at least 3 places designed for sensor taps, but can you just tap into it anywhere also? I have a total 6 taps in my SSV

no I didn't. My butt dyno thought it felt better than my early crawford, but that's all I've actually done as far a comparison on my car.
At Dynocomp, they have shown it to be equal to the stock plenum with a small 2-3 whp bump between 6100-6400 rpms
Triji did a comparison with a crawford and SSV at Dynocomp and said the SSV had 10 less tq than the crawford, but about the same power up top. I don't remember if he was using different octane and tunes on each setup though
Sharif said earlier in this thread that he thinks the cosworth would gain 20 more whp over the SSV because his findings have shown the SSV to lose power that he can't get back
I'm not debating anything, just saying it's going to be a pain in the *** and a bunch of money for me to swap out my SSV for the cosworth. The cosworth might gain me some power, but I have as much power as I want on a stock block for now. So anyway, people will still bash me for having the SSV, but all I can do is show them a my dyno and shrug

So they did some revisions and they ended up with 9 additional hp, in the upper rpm. They are still in the process of completing the final production piece, but didnt know, when the release date would be. The plenums, arent coming from Cosworth USA, but in Cosworth Australia.

Nope, not at all. I would imagine it would be lighter, but then again who knows.
