As far as I know, they have yet to produce the first unit... Are these readily available somewhere else in the world?

If they are producing units... Why hasn't anyone tested or dynoed one?

This is true, but what I don't get is why no dyno's have been posted or released. I mean Cosworth claims at least 17 whp at peak and no loss of torque, but where's the proof? Maybe they feel it is not necessary since so many people have expressed interest in purchasing the plenum

 

I wouldn't release dynos ahead of time either if I were them. That way the internet works nowadays, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. I suspect a company such as Cosworth is not interested in being mired down in the semantics that can often happen - such as "why didn't you use x dyno over y dyno", "why did you only dyno a turbo car, and can you dyno this turbo setup vs that, etc etc etc.". As much as people say "we wouldn't care, we want to see something", history has shown this not to be the case.

Based on all the pictures floating around its safe to say there are several vehicles with it already installed. And I'll bet everyone who has it installed has signed a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Cosworth. Hence the silence.

The manifold is probably in Beta testing for performance and fitment data points.
IE. they want to put multiple Beta units out for multiple data points before concluding what it will do in the larger public. From the view point of cost and liability, its good risk mitigation.

They can change or modify as needed based on Beta testing feedback.

Its a smart thing to do before investing a lot of ca$h in large volume production. Equally important, its a smart thing to do before selling in bulk to a critical public with high expectations.

No surprises / no problems.

 

And after the fight, there will be 0 Ricky ***ton!

 

lol, I take it your a Mayweather fan? Don't underestimate the pride of Manchester Pretty boy may have quick hands, but he's never faced an opponent that can put as much pressure on him like Hatton can.

Either way, both will be bloody by the end of the fight, especially if ricky blocks floyd's punches with his head.

Npw, back to topic--my crystal ball says the cos plenum won't ship until next year--but I would love to be proven wrong!

Wow... I come back to this thread from time to time and check on the status. I'm shocked they have left everyone out to dry again. It's not almost December and still no one has received theirs.

Hey guys. I called Cosworth yesterday, and spoke with one of their representatives. He informed me that he would look into the status, and send me and email with an update. As of this morning, I had not heard anything back. I then sent an email to them, requesting an update. I have not gotten a reply, which is expected due to the high volume of emails/calls they receive. I'm sure they have customers inquiring about them as much, if not more than we do. As soon as I get the email, I will post the news
