I think the question pertaining to cost-vs-gain will be different for each application. If you are na, maybe this is not the cheapest/best option for the +7hp gain.. IF the gain increases proportionate to the amount of boost you are running, then a mild 10 - 13PSI setup might see a 15- 20hp gain (now the cost-vs-gain is getting better)... And an aggressive 20 – 25PSI setup might see an 35- 50+hp gain, now it is a pretty good price for the performance increase, especially if you have done just about everything else possible to increase/improve airflow...
At least this is my take on it. I could be wrong, but that was my understanding on how this product is new and revolutionary and is worth the price for high HP cars.

oh I in no way would ever think this manifold would be a wise choice for a NA setup as far as gains vs money - it's obviously a FI part, specifically for bigger power setups
but it just seems like more gains could be made with spending that money towards either a stroker kit, or headwork, or bigger turbos, or more boost, or sleeves. But yeah if someone has everything already and has to "collect them all" in order to get 1000+ hp then go for it

i think even for FI people cost gain it might not be worth it... i mean not for all FI people but more for those that are pushing for extreme setup where its all about paying for what will give you more...but definatly agree with sentry that for probably 90% of all that go Fi more gains can me made by spending this money somewhere else.... i mean the price of this you are good with decent headwork, or 50%-60% of the way to get sleeves... which can make you a hell of a lot more power with the ability to run really high boost levels.

Guys, the rumor has it, that the plenum will be price MUCH less than $1500...possibly in the triple digits. And this things look AMAZING. I mean...the junk Kinetix manifold sold for $900, and produced zero power...and people still purchased it.
With a 15whp gain NA, and possibly more with FI...I think this plenum is a winner. You can also keep your stock strut bar, as I know that's important to many people.

I think most of us here want a product that will help us hit high numbers, I for one would/ will buy it if its better than a spacer and proves it's worth the cost.

yeah they said late first quarter, like mid march, he said he really wants it to hit the market at 999, that would be about right.
they picked up nice hp with it NA but only tested it to see if it would hold boost but he said that he has not tried it on a turbo application, i told him to let me borrow it for a couple hours..
he didnt really think that was funny, we should have snatched it damnit...
then would have had a nice unbiased opinion on it, since it would have been free with nothing to justify or sell at the time
