Yes, it will work on our setups - but it is called "Maximum Boost Levels" for a reason. Unless you are trying to max out your setup, I would recommend method 1 which is most commonly used and allows for precise/stable boost control.

of course it works, has nothing to do with the haltech. when the solenoid is not powered, it ddoesnt matter how you have it plumbed. you lose alot of resolution it seems though.

with my car 12.4 % duty cycle was 27psi and 12.8% was almost 35psi.

ya that way you can run alot of boost. i was running 38psi on 1bar springs.

you;ll need alot more than 19psi to max out that setup, closer to 30psi I'd imagine

I'm still on one DW 300LPH pump and internal MAP sensor

Will try to get an external MAP sensor from our local GM dealer.

Not sure if already posted however haltech has listed some info but no option to purchase yet:

http://www.haltech.com.au/index.php/...io-expander-12
http://files.haltech.com/downloads/p...xpander_12.pdf
http://files.haltech.com/downloads/p...V1_website.pdf

Alot of red crosses in the feature list but this may be expected due to our cars etc.

From the Haltech forum:

Support of Expansion Devices for Pro harness and Pro Plug-in ECU's will be in the next release of ECU Manager 1.10, which is scheduled for release within the next few months.
So its expected to be released 2018-2022

Sooner than 2018 I think... Not that I'm holding my breath but there's this little birdie... Anyway it's value will all depend on what you can do in the firmware with the inputs/outputs. No dual map switch according to the feature list . I want failsafes and a high boost, meth map. Not asking too much? Looks like it has a fuel and ignition trim based on input, so that might work (sub fuel, add timing when an input goes high above a certain PSI?)

By the way, speed and rpm dependent closed loop boost control paired with ignition retard with wheel slip above 15% seemed to work really well at the airstrip for maintaining traction without being too intrusive. If you haven't tried it, enable ignition trims and then set up a map by wheel slip (I used a 1D map). On my car I logged wheel slip and there is no appreciable feeling of slip below 15% so I set up a map from 15 to 50% to retard ignition timing (same across all cylinders) from 1 to 8 degrees. The max slip I logged thereafter was 25% - could've been the tires getting hotter...

You mean snapshots of the tables? Ok, they are on the car pc - will screen capture and post tonight the boost and ignition trim maps I used...

EDIT: Here is what I ran at the airstrip and for hours on the mountain roads...

Wheel slip can only be monitored if you have TCS correct?

Wheel slip is a Haltech calculated channel based on the wheel speed sensors, so I believe you have it with or without TCS.

Ahh, wheel speed sensors are linked to the ABS i think.

That was with 305/30/19 RE-11 tires. You will need to adjust based on what the tires will hold... I tweaked the values by logging 2 runs down the strip and just went with that for the rest of the day. I would get a little bit of slip taking off in 2nd, but then it seemed to stick (was running peak 580 wtq on Sharif's dyno at 18 psi, but in 2nd gear at 45 mph was probably at 500 wtq).

Although I was running higher boost this year, I had also switched back to a 3.3 rear end and Quaife vs 3.5 and ATS Carbon last year. I liked this year's combo better.

Maybe i cant find it but does software 1.09.1 remove access to the O2 PID's. The change log alludes to this being moved to a table but there is no table that I can see.

Also what is Gearbox - Down Shift used for?

^ sorry, I usually don't waste time just updating my ECU mgr software unless Hal posts new firmware that is tested to work... As far as I know we are all still stuck on v1.06 firmware.

Raj, I understand your point however features can be unlocked via firmware or software. Certain features may not be available to the front end in say software 1.07.4 but may be visible in 1.09 even though firmware 1.06 firmware supports it.

One thing I did notice was that map uploads appear to be faster with 1.09.1 software but this could be my imagination after using 1.07.4 for the last 12 months.

Anyway still waiting patiently for new firmware.. Hopefully it is a killer update

^ I did not realize that - and sorry for my blunt post, now re-reading it - didn't mean it like that. I thought new ECU mgrs only displayed features that were in sync with the firmware release upon which it ran (i.e. features disappear loading older maps, etc). I also misinterpreted your prior note - thought you had access to beta version of new firmware that was for us.
