Fogive my noobness but I would assume that the user will set the ignition shutoff time to the amount that is correct for the user.
So basically this:
I go to the track and start with 700ms, I realize that is too long so I jump it down to 200ms. I realize that is too short so I go back up to 500ms, which in turn is too long, etc...
You want it dialed in for YOUR driving, correct?

Correct..However 700ms is a long time, your GrannyShifting if that the case..Generally 100ms is good for the beginner user, then you lower it or raise it as you see fit..The whole idea is to cut the ignition for as little as possible to allow a smooth shift without loosing boost or RPM..
