Default Forged Performance: Another member of the 600whp+ club!

We just got finished with Shawn Grinnen's car, and I wanted to share the results with you all. You might remember Shawn, as over the past year+ he has had issue after issue with his car, and in this time he put only 500miles on his built engine. So he decided to have us fix the various issues with the car, and install an FCON and a few other goodies. The engine (everything but the kitchen sink mods) was built by IPP, and they did a fine job with everything. Unfortunately, we had to take the engine completely apart...down to the raw block, in order to fix some mistakes when someone else took the heads off and overlooked a few things upon reinstallation.

So we tuned the car yesterday and today, and got some terrific numbers out of this setup, and a nice smooth power curve. The various setups are shown on the dyno chart, and we created a user switchable sub map for his race fuel boost level. As we mentioned previously, posted dyno numbers are in "shoot out" mode, which locks out any user adjustments to the numbers and correction factors....usually about 10-13% higher if run on a Dyno Jet)The temps and such are listed on the dyno chart, for those of you that are interested.

I am sure he will REALLY enjoy the car now. Congrats Shawn, and welcome to the 600whp club!

Here is what we saw....since most of the core mods were done elsewhere.

Custom 3 inch true dual (maybe an SVRT??)
IPP Long Block, Darton sleeved, eagle rods, with Wisco pistons
Heads were ported with oversized valves and JWT S2 Camshafts
Return fuel system

Some of the stuff we installed:

New 6speed manual trans....his was SHOT.
HKS FCON VPro with Knock Amp and all accessories
HKS Navigator Pro (for data monitoring and map switching)
RC 1000cc injectors

While we were inside the engine, we changed and upgraded several items, such as a new set of L19 studs, HKS headgasket, coolant bypass modification.
