Why would this surprise you? The way people talk to each other here would get them knocked out where I live. If I walked up to someone out here in said the stuff Julian has said I would expect the next thing to be a fight. I don't understand why some people think its ok to talk to people like that just because its the internet. Don't people ever think they might meet that person somewhere. Car Show, trade show, track, etc. I'm not taking sides here but just speaking generally about the way people talk here. I'm guilty of it myself I'm sure but I do make an effort to not call someone a "pu$$Y" outright like other do. I don't think threats are the answer either but the mods don't seem to be taking any action either way so...

 

maybe i missed a couple threads, but i don't recall seeing anyone saying straight up when they meet a person they are going to knock them out.. i may have seen "if i meet you.. i would knock you out" or "you couldn't say that to me in person or i would knock you out" but never "when i see you this friday i am going to knock you out"

 

I'm not talking about the threat talk. I'm talking about the personal attacks. Exmaple:

"You're a pu$$y", "You're a whiney little girl with no *****" etc. Things like that. People seem to personally attack people all the time and that kind of talk would get you laid out where I live if you were doing that in person. I don't see why being behind a keyboard makes it ok. Disregard the fact it violates the ToU and think about it on a personal level. If you were at the track and someone was talking to you like that you would being throwing down in no time at all. I take that back, I don't know you but I know the people in the area I live in and they would certainly be kicking the crap out of you if you walked around talking to them like that. At some point someone is going to cross the line talking like that and clearly Julian crossed that line with Phil. That's why I said I'm not surprised Phil responded that way and in fact I am surprised it took this long for someone to do so. Some people think because they put it on the internet from a keyboard it may never come to a face to face but the car world isn't that big and people attend all kinds of shows. Do people honestly think you can say **** like that and then when someone sees you in person not expect them to knock you out?

Understand this, and understand this clearly..I am not, and did not threaten you physically..I asked you if you wanted to RACE at a LEGAL and SANCTIONED EVENT for a friendly wager, to once and for all put this hatred or contempt you have for us to sleep. Not once did I say I was doing you any physical harm.
Now, you KNOW that my secondary profession is a police officer, yet you choose to KNOWINGLY AND WILLINGLY threaten me with physical harm and tell me to bring my gun..You do realize you just posted a TERRORISTIC THREAT to a police officer....
I will say this, you threaten me in person and you WILL be placed under arrest on the spot by myself.I have 24 hour police powers in every jurisdiction in the state of NJ. I have never once hid behind my authority,nor have I brought up my profession, however you time and time again choose to do so. You also time and time again make reference to calling your attorney for legal protection..
Now Im playing the game..You threaten me again,on line or in person, I am signing a complaint against you for Harasment, and Terroristic threats...You wish to use you power of annoyance, I will utilize my power of arrest..
Tell me to my face Friday you plan on laying me out, I am telling you to your face that "you are under arrest" any refusal to submit to arrest will be contrued as "resisting Arrest"..End of story ...Im done playing games with you..

And I already said I'm not taking sides on this. I'm talking about the general attitude and tone people post with on this forum. The kind of talk between people here would result in physical violence where I live. I don't care who started THIS mess. People seem to think its ok to tell someone to lift up their skirt or that they are a pu$$y but when it becomes personal like that you can expect the next time you see that person face to face something is going to go down. At least where I live thats how it is. Please don't turn this around as if I'm bashing you. I'm talking in general terms of how people respond to one another here. The car world is too small for you to never meet the person you are bad mouthing. I would hope that if you are willing to personally attack someone to the level it has gotten to in this thread you would expect someone to walk up and punch you in the mouth when they see you. And I'm NOT talking about YOU Julian. I'm talking about anyone who talks like that to someone else.

OK I understand that. I'll say for the 3rd time I'm not concerned with who started what. I'm just saying I'm not surprised it has gotten to the point of physical threats. Phil may have started it here but neither side is completely innocent of personal attacks against each other in the past. The level to which the personal attacks have gotten on this forum is out of control. The mods don't seem to be doing anything to stop it so I'm not surprised that it has gotten to this point. My point simply stated is that the way people are talking to each other in this thread and others only has one result. The car world is small and these people will meet. When they do I would fully expect it to get to a physical altercation. You can only talk so much **** before its going to catch up to you. Regardless of who it is.

 

If you said the same things to me in my face, you should expect the same reaction from me and I feel alot of other people will react the same.

My point of view: You're abusing your power. Hiding behind a badge is kinda weak, although you said you never did it before.
I'm all for the race between you guys, but trash talking is sort of mundane from both sides.

How am I abusing my power when someone physically threatens me and taunts me with legal action over and over again...So Im supposed to let him walk up to me and punch me in the face then thank him with a smile?? I am stating for the record, after Philthy KNOWINGLY THREATENED ME for the last time, I have every intention on "using my power" to protect myself and my family as well as innocent bystanders from a possible assault on my person.
So Im supoposed lay down like a doormat and take all the abuse I get from members of this board?? If I had threatened to kick his a$$ best be sure he would have been in my internal affairs office filing a complaint..
Im showing up Friday for a friendly grudge match on the 1/4 mile, if Phil plans on bringin ill will and bad intentions, I will utilize "reasonable" methods to deal with the situation...
