Usually if the graph is not smooth the engine is misfiring, or detonating. Too little ignition advance will look really choppy too. If the graph isn't smooth, it needs more work. On a DJ "0" smoothing will show how well the engine is tuned/running

The DJ has smoothing, and its usually listed in the upper left hand corner, as a value between 0 and 5. 0 is no smoothing, and 5 is max smoothing.

The dyno that has the capability to do HUGE smoothing is the Mustang Dyno. The filter value can be set to a mind-numbing level, so that only the most massive change in power will show a blip. With the filter level set very high, the graphs all look like they were drawn by a steady hand.
im glad you said this because if JULIAN said it everyone would jump all over his case.

p.s. just so everyone knows ive been making 567 for alot longer than just december my car has been garaged since early october as i dont drive it in the winter

Question - stage 1 heads are stout enough for 600hp? Would you make power easier if you upgraded heads? thanks
