We had the pleasure of working on XKR's stunning G35 coupe. On Friday, we wrapped up the project, and Mike W. drove the car 800 miles back to Texas, and then immediately took it to his local road course to make sure we did a good job.
Thankfully, he reported no issues at all.
The basics of the buildup include the following:
Forged Performance Stage I Shortblock
GTM Stage I Turbo cams
HKS FCON Compelete EMS Package
HKS EVC 6
JWT 700bb TT Kit
Carbonetic Carbon LSD
Carbonetic Triple Carbon Clutch/Flywheel
APS 3.5 inch Downpipes (FP modified to fit the JWT kit)
Koyo Thick Core Rad, with FP Fan-Shroud cooling upgrade
Stillen Oil Cooler
Defi Gauge Assortment
We also made a custom mount for his gauges and knock amp, as Mike wanted everything cleanly, and discretely mounted. Enjoy....another one is on the road!
Round Two for Mike will include the Cosworth Intake Plenum, a race map tune with higher boost, and an AP Racing BBK so he won't destory his current brake setup. FYI: Mike races Porsche GT-2's and GT-3's in his spare time, he he knows a thing or two about road racing.
444whp@10.5psi
501whp@14psi
93 octane fuel
Pure Heart-Breaker numbers.
Next up is RCDash's Haltech powered JWT 700bb kit.
And dont worry Dilsher...yours is a day behind his.

Beautiful car - looks familiar
Smooth dyno curve. How do you decide 13/14/15 psi? Customer goals? Or knock detection at xx octane?
I like that engine cover! And nice work with the gauges. I had a hard time deciding between an innovate vs. Defi set up. The Defi looks very nice...

Congrats on another job well done. Looks good!
Silver Civic is Chris's and the Blue Subi is Devon's.

Nice placement of the gauges and Knock amp. Power curve doesn't look bad either Sharif
, should be over 550rwhp on a dynojet.
Nice job guys!

Actually, Mike picked up his G35 on Saturday, so the guys were working on their own cars that day....hence they were inside. Chris's Civic is turning into a little forged beast. Just got done with break-in and 6psi low boost tune with his B18 with FCON and a T66 Turbonetics turbo. Made 220whp without even trying....his car is going to be nuts! NA, his car did 145whp on our dyno.

GTM and FP both understand, that a smooth dyno curve, without sharp peaks and valleys...is illustrative of a safe and happy engine...and zero knock.

450whp-500whp on our dyno is MORE than enough to get the job done on any circuit course. The rest is left up to the setup, and the driver.

Do you have any pics of the center pod/console from a little further back?
