I've always entertained that idea. His writing skills have always impressed me -- his grammar, tone, professionalism, etc. It wouldn't surprise me in the least..

This is really confusing, Maybe Turbo Tim can tell us the status of that car, I'm really hoping that everything works out for both of them.
As a side note, When I went to JWT a few weeks ago looking for information I asked them for a recomendation on where I could bring my car now that I have the VRT install but need a DEPENDABLE shop to have work done on it, they gave me Mark Brent's phone number. I may just take it to GTM if I can afford it.
I changed the oil this weekend and found a very slight trace of oil but either a turbo is starting to leak or it's the rear main seal, also I'm pondering upgrading to 700BB's. If I go to the 700's I'm going to have the engine opened up and inspected just to see what's there and it's condition rather than letting it pop and incur more drastic costs.

I must state that I DID try to share and express my concerns about the way things were starting to go with as many customers as I felt were directly impacted before I left.
Ed (Eagle1), in particular was one of the customers (and friend) which I had alot of respect for that I shared with about the goings on and that I was no longer going to a part of that company and will no longer be able to help him out on overseeing his car. I tried not to, but I did take it personally when he listened to what I had to say, but despite what I had told him he still decided to continue and evolve his relationship with Mr A and VRT for the past year, pretty much taking what I put my neck out on the line to tell him and tossing it aside. Ed is awesome and someone that I held in VERY hi regard, had a ton of respect for, and considered him a good friend. I took it hard weather he knows it or not. I went from having weekly, many times daily extended conversations with Ed, (even having dinner at his house with his family) to being treated as if I was the enemy, or as if I had the plague. (I would love to someday here why this was the case). He obviously made his decision on what to do, and that was that. ...........Anyways enough about that.
All's I know is that (not me, but) Mark Brent my main mechanic, buisness partner, and original builder of this car has been contacted directly by Ed to go over his whole car, fix what was wrong with it, and get it back in "good" working order for him. It was mentioned to me today that Ed has also requested that the VRT stickers all be removed, (finally). I am sure the car will be back to as good as it ever was, and back terrorizing track goers in no time.

this quote needs to make it here
Here are my thoughts about Eagle1's response, which I posted in the other thread. I think it should be discussed here as well.

i doubt its going back
Ironically, after i got wind of what Alvarez was doing to customers cars, i immediately notified someone on this board that i knew was a customer, and at that moment in time had his motor being "rebuilt" by VRT after a track event. I got the same response from this individual as Scott did with Ed unfortunately. "Mike treat's me well" and "He has done good by me", was all he responded with.
Nevermind the fact that his credit card was randomly being charged for a grand here and two grand there. I did all i could to to help a poor SOB under the magical spell of the Magical Alvarez

well fellas....iv'e been in contact with Sam from GT Motorsports, let me start off with my turbo issue. My car initially had a "leaking passanger side turbo seal", so my car was sent down to VRT, they had it for a month and a half, and i was told it was fixed, and that a [BNew[/B] turbo was installed on the passanger side. So i picked up my Z expecting it completely fixed. well that was not the case, and my car was sent to Sam. well my turbo's were removed and sent to Greddy to be inspected.
Since then VRT has sent me my supposed passanger side turbo that was replaced.Greddy informed Sam that they inspected the turbo's and they came to the conclusion that Both Turbo's have a leaking seal, (let me remind you guys that my "New" passanger side turbo has only 100 miles on it), so Greddy says they can rebuild them, and im getting pretty good deal on that.
But its odd that both turbo's need to be re-sealed when my passanger side turbo is supposed to be Brand new. i have to replace my pistons, as 3 of them ar none re-usable, iv'e found some good arias pistons for a very in-exspensive price. My block needs to be bored becuse of the piston issue, and it needs to be honed. but it seems as if im looking to spend more than what i initially paid to get all this work done in the 1st place by VRT, so if this is the case, i mite not be able to pay this, and my Z mite be back up for sale.
Also, i paid for Jwt cms, and sam is 99.9% sure those cams are not in my car.
Further update comming very soon.
Thx guys!

Unfortunately, yes ... Steve is the one i meant. Sorry Steve. It really pissed me off hearing all
the crap that was happening over at VRT. I called Steve and told him in a very stern manner, to get his car back immediately and find another mechanic. Since VRT lost their dream team mechanic after the shenanigans started, they started using a local machine shop to put the motors together. And Mr A. (I was told) was doing the actual tuning hisself!

I havent talked to steve in a long long while though but it sucks that he decided to go against your advice and stick with VRT.
I know he had troubles with his build.....
but i dunno what ever came out of it...
he says said he is at 515hp...
....1)vrt moon dynos come mind 2)did they showed him a fake dyno 3) did mr shlt tuned hit car?are you still sponsoring him?
Steve was lied to by Mr A. seven ways from Sunday about his car. Steve's car lost oil pressure during practice at Cal Spdwy at a Redline Time Attack. So he never even got to run the car. This was just after having it worked on by VRT. And yes i was sponsoring Steve at the time, and he was helping us to develop and test. I will just say this, after telling Steve what VRT was pulling
on customers, and him not heading my words to get his car back.... i made the political decision to part ways in terms of sponsorship. Knowing that the car was NOT being properly tuned by the mechanic I knew. And was being instead worked on and tuned by a complete egotistical moron that only cared about himself.
and we know by some of the dynosheets of peopel that had their car retuned how shitty their tune was... and how MR a wasnt tunning the cars and just providing dynosheets of others cars
mr A$$ is a facking lier.....

truly sad...i wondered what the end result was with his car... and yeah...i guess nobody would blame you for parting ways in terms of sponsorship.

Steve's a great person without exception. But i cannot make someone believe something that they do not want to believe. I hope he believes it now.
