Yes, finally some good news.

But you should still nail him in civil and criminal court for all of it.

Congrats to you! some times these credit card companies really don't care and will screw the client. Glad to hear they ruled in your favor.

Credit cards are more than just credit and intrest payments. They are purchasing insurance and a firewall to your bank account.

The CC company generally doesn't want to rule in favor of their client unless its a clear case. Its just money out of the CC companies pocket.

The scammer typically never hears of the decision nor pays for anything. The scammer still gets to keep the money.

That is true. I had a bad experience with a PayPal account one time where a guy ripped me off for some wheels and got away with it.

Yea they said the reason they ruled in favor of myself, was because VRT could not show proof that the work that i paid to have done, was done. So they had no choice!

you should also contact the police departments fraud unit. Your credit card company should have advised you of that also. If you have a police report and there is an active investigation it weighs favorably for you with the credit card fraud investigators.

^^^BINGO!!!

Best way to get back at VRT is to use the city attorney's office. If we sue, we might win but get nothing since he filed BK.

If the police and city attorney start investigating, there's no slithering away from the penalties. He may do time, he may not, but he's convicted of fraud. That's a big deal.

+1 makes it easier for credit card companies to vote in your favor if you can refer them a police case number

good luck D!

That gives up some great insight into the time frame when NG was first "informed" of shady things......

Congrats on the small victory dozzer

I think it's really sad that people have nothing better to do than go on stupid forums and talk trash about people they don't even know. I don't care about the forums because I get several leads a day. I wish people in this industry would just grow up.
