My point is considering how much inside info he has compared to most of us, for him/scott/mark to call it fishy at the time they did its ovbious this wasnt just a "tax writeoff" strategy...for all we know its a tax scam too

+1000000000 I run a big construction company and we have several different company names: a consruction company, an equipment company and a development company, all under on building.

all has to do with taxes and protecting the company and how good one company looks on the book vs another.

 

I am certainly not saying he is a stand up guy. But he was well educated and had money. As Scott said, MrA had a real estate company, a record label, who knows what else. From a legal standpoint, look at it this way. If someone sues VRT, they can only go after what is in that entity. Some tools and thats about it. The shop was leased, he had no real assets. But if they were all under one company, then any one of these lawsuits he is facing means whoever sues him could go after the assets of the real estate company and his record label too. So as long as he keeps them separate then they are not at risk from his lawsuits.

 

Does nobody else see this as a blatant misrepresentation of what was actually said? This is just getting rediculous.
