So does anyone know why I'm getting such high boost pressure on stock wastegate springs?

Youre really not getting that high of boost pressure. The EVC just reads a tad bit high. I had that same concern but Sharif explained everything to me. My Defi reads different than my EVC but that is completely normal.

Good stuff, I also read as high as 9.9psi with the boost controller on, which had me a bit worried.

Yea, that sounds right. I think i am at 8.7 PSI and my PH is like 9.8 IIRC.

Congrats on your new found power. I had the stage 3 done by Forged in June and i am going back in a couple weeks for some more goodies. Cant wait.

yeah but anyone can take an ugly ol' stang and make it go quick. Takes a lil more finesse to make a sexy Z or G do the same but with way more class.

very true. plus the Z (or G) can take the curves, something a mustang is probably going to struggle with.

Mustangs! More like Mustank. Everyone I run across, just revs there motor and doesn't have the ***** to run. I guess they believe there intimating exhaust rumble scares us. But I've always been a new age kind of guy.

James, you think you'll be at the next yearly Forged meeting next year?

Considering where you live that must happen every 5 feet. Mustangs almost outnumber trucks around here lol. Actually I know a few trucks that would put a serious hurting on alot of our Z's lol.

yeah. I have a good friend that works at a diesel performance shop locally. the owner has a low 10 second Dodge Truck. my friend's Checy Duramax put down 500 whp and 1200 lbs of torque. He wants to race at track when I get my car finished lol.

They are mad quick off the line, especially with 4WD, but they just aren't geared for high top-end

Yeah, I was looking at a buddy's diesel power the other day, and they do make a shitload of black smoke. Also, they can make like 1200 lb-tq at the wheels like it's nothing. Definitely something to be respectful off.

If you're hauling cattle, that is.

I have more respect for a nicely modified mustang than I would a modified diesel truck. The vast majority of the late model modified mustangs and cobras around here would absolutely destroy any Z of the same level of aftermarket modification.
