Nice polished Cosworth plenum.

BTW... Sorry if I missed this in another thread, but what are your impressions of the Cosworth plenum on this setup? I noticed from the dynographs that you guys aren't revving it up to 7000RPM (or more). Since it's a built stroker with your head package and the Cosworth plenum, why aren't you guys revving this motor higher?

The Cosworth plenum made significant gains (30-40whp) across the board. With the large powerband on this car, revving high is not required. We have tested it over 7000rpm before but it required another ecu due to the '05 G35 closing the throttle body at 7000rpm. The dynodynamics chart posted above is run to 6900rpm.

FYI stroked motors typically have lower powerbands than non-stroked motors. Stroked motors have the ability to rev just as high as non-stroked motors but its just not needed as Hal mentioned earlier.

Can you get around this cutoff by any other way then replacing the ECU with something else? I have an Fcon so does this present a problem?

What year is your car - only the newer ones do it, and yes same thing with FCON because it does not control drive-by-wire. The easy solution is an ecu reflash to raise rev limiter, but again on this car it is not necessary due to the nice powerband.

Had the same problem, had Sam at GTM reflash it so I can rev past 7500, also take the speed limiter and bump the idle. Best thing I ever did IMO.

I don't knwo which ATS triple carbon clutch he has, but the soft compound triple clutch discs won't hold at those power levels. You will need the standard or R compound, the 1350 pp, and it sounds like you will need the CCM (carbon coated metal) flywheel and pressure plates which increases torque capacity significantly.
