Forged Performance: Jay's car is Greddy'ed and Strong!
I knew, this, but the greddy turbo's have never been great, and tons for good reasons don't like the greddy kit at all for this reason. I don't want to get into a pissing contest over the superiorirty of turbo's, I just want to get to the actual reason behind Sharif's statement about the original kit, and REAL reasons why sharif didn't just either replace the turbo's or fix the original kit, rather than add a completely different kit. The cost benefit of opting for a brand new kit at this point sounds way off....

Anyway... Congrats Jay! Looking good!

True....smaller and spool faster. Personally I would take the quality of greddy over APS any day, only cause of the experiences I've had..but my APS tuner kit before the rebuild was pushing out identical #'s to the 20G #'s in this post. Usually when someone goes big like this w/ turbos such as these..correct me if I'm wrong, but they're pushing for 600+

I say again, YOU HAD THE OLD APS TUNER WITH DIFFERENT TURBOS, Over!!

APS is much better then GREDDY.
who did the install for ur kit !?!? how did he installd the turbos for u???
im sure he installd the passenger side turbo in the driver side, this will cause Decrease in exhaust pressure and will cause low boost pressure and hot air gets in to the engine.

It has been posted in this thread and Jay has posted in at least 3 other threads that he had the new APS tuner kit with the new non-Garrett journal bearing turbos that are ABSOLUTE CRAP and have been proven incapable of matching the performance of the previous Garrett ball bearing turbos used by APS.
Greddy turbos are superior to these new piece of sh*t journal bearing turbos that APS is now using.

The 20G that Jay has is like night and day.
The new APS that jay had installed can hardly make 450whp.....while with the 20g he has installed not ....he could make over 600whp without starting the car.
BTW.... Lawchick..get your azz back over to the VRT/RA/Scott thread....I dont want the drama to spill over here and muck up Jays thread..We are noy finished with you yet.....You and your Gang started the BS and the all of you scatter and leave the XXX chick to hold the bag....get out of this thread and back where you belong

Did you even bother to read the thread before you posted??? Forged did the install on both kits and I'm pretty confident that Sharif and his staff did a competent install.

i really like that guy when he came in, and ask about who did the install.
I know what a relief it is to finally have you car back running strong esp after so long...congrats for sure. Car is def one of the cleanest. The FI forum in general has turned into shark infested feeding frenzy it seems like. - Its kinda funny really.

Sharif figure out what was causing the unusual vibration you had with both
the Supercharger and the APS "tuner" setup? Did it disappear with the with
the Turbo system or was something else discovered when installing new one?
