AAA has by far the most warranty attempts of any company that has ever bought our batteries. They absolutely do not know how to handle a battery. They leave them in their trucks unstrapped, sliding and banging around, and often left on their sides or upside down for extended periods of time. And on top of them they leave them in their truck for sometimes months at a time and no battery will withstand that. They still use deka batteries for a reason, but AAA really needs to learn how to handle one.
In other news I was trying to pry off the timing chain cover today and apparently I missed the 2 bolts under the oil pan... I havent drained the oil yet and wasnt really wanting to.. O well
Then I got the call I needed to get my Z out of my brothers garage because his car is getting delivered back to his house tomorrow... So I had to make room in my driveway...
Put the G in neutral kicked out the chock blocks and let that ***** roll into my yard... My neighbors are going to hate me.... Now I have 5 cars out their... They all thought the G was my Z and that I had just wrecked it haha..
I checked that thing like an embarrassing amount of times trying to figure out why it was still attached. O well. Pulled the injectors and coil packs, should throw them rigjt in the trash but im a horder and I'll keep them in a box somewhere.
My car got booted out of the garage so the mustang could be back in its home, after 2 years in the body shop and almost enough money to buy a brand new mustang it's finally made its way back.
Ruin it from the wind? Or did you ruin it trying to get it off?
Also had time to finish my bumper and play with some supercharger stuff. The difference between the v2 and v7 is much greater than I expected. Loads of pictures incoming...
Ill just drop the price to $25 and say it needs a little bondo...
After I backed into it I pulled it forward a bit and picked up the front of the car by the frame rails and put the ramps back under their. Im just happy the engine didnt take the hit...
My wife was spotting me from the kitchen on the phone... She was like I wouldnt go back any further... And I was like just a little bit? Then she was like o your moving the car backwards... It was a pretty funny time, glad we have no love for the G.
It really is a joy having a car that you do not care about.
And Im not going for the 'cold air' intake like last time. Im just trying to find a small 4" filter like the one vortech sends with the kit. I dont think I have any shot of getting a 4" intake through there, and the air duct made into the INGS bumper will actually push air right into where the vortech sits.
I might actually have a functional bumper for vortech setups
It would be way too big. The first filter I tried was a K&N E-1996 and that was even too big. I just put an order in on a different K&N that is very similar to the original vortech filter. So once that comes in I will give it a shot.
Until then I have to find a machine shop to grind off part of the head unit that is in the way of the bracket
Finished up the second light bar on the honda, so that whole project is done with. Light output on it is pretty sweet now. The 2nd bar didnt add any distance to the light, but it made what was already lit up, even brighter.
And you'd definitely have to do some cutting to fit a 4" cold air (Josh did that when he ran the YSi). My 3.5" makes me want to just go the filter route like you, but the fact that your INGS bumper is a direct cold shot to the blower is awesome.
Also, finally went out and took photos of the Z since it was bagged. Ignore the dirt from the rain.
And Im taking that old filter setup off so if you're interested it will be available. You're car looks much better on bags. Im surprised you managed to tuck the fronts.
I'd have to source a new inlet for the 3.5" (the V2 was a 3" correct?), but that would be perfect for my setup more than likely.
And so was I. The fronts, with a 245/35 or something crazy would tuck fully like the rears do. Right now they are resting on the tire, which I'm fine with
Yea still looks nice. My only airs out to about there because I didnt cut out a hole for the UCA bolts to poke through the engine bay.
And the v2 and v3 are the same blowers/volutes with the only difference being that v3 is self-contained and v2 is oil fed. So this air filter setup will bolt right up
