To me the Prothane looked "beefier" than the Whiteline.

That's it.

Thank you for the compliment. The car only has 11,000 miles on it. I know the lowering will accelerate the wear of the OEM shocks. When this happens, I will swap out the shocks for Bilsteins.

Rain put a damper on my plans... All I did was clean up my basement and pulled apart the H pipe.

Harness mod and head unit install!

Since I have the B(l)o(w)se system I had to do something about volume. I chose not to install a Pac module and instead modified the harness according to this guide:
http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/106961-...inks-to-parts/
and
http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/107583-...ume-fix-guide/

Everything worked out perfecet. The volume is almost at the loud end of the scale. Super happy with the results sound wise. The new HU really woke up the Bose speakers.
Fitment wise however... Absolute horse sh**...
I googled a ton before deciding on which trim kit to get and after deciding American International got the most praise I got one of those. The finish, form and function of the facia is excellent, but the fitment around the head unit leaves ALOT to be desired. I have about a 1mm gap around the whole screen, all sides.

Also the fitment of the HU in the mounting brackets was f*ing waaaay off. The AI kit brackets were just stupid and didn't work even after I modified them so I used the OEM brackets and had to redrill all of the mounting holes.
I made sure to get 06-08 trim kits and mounting kits but seriously... it's like a blind drunk guessed where the holes should go...
It took me 2 hours to get the fitment acceptable, it's still a little off but it's good enough that you won't really notice it unless you thoroughly inspect everything.

I have yet to figure out where to mount the microphone and GPS antenna.

^^^ Despite the "poor fit" and the need to jury rig the mount brackets, install still came out nice. Looks really good in there.

replaced the bent positive terminal clamp, replaced the worn out antennae and replaced the radiator fans (added a lot of curse words)....Next will be the passenger window motor, tpms (front left tire), oil change (due soon), spark plugs (due soon), rear axle click fix (when I have time)....

Loosened up 5 of the 6 passenger side manifold bolts... While it doesn't sound like much it was a major pain in my poo hole. Hopefully get it completely off tomorrow.

Pretty good mod for how easy and cheap it was. Same delayed slow shifting when cruising. If you really drive the shift response is great. You definitely feel it and it hits pretty hard.

Took an unexpecting lady friend for a drive. "Why does it do that?"

I had some backdoor f... I mean back road fun, turns out I had a little too much fun!
What's the minimum safe pad thickness again?

That wear indicator must have sheared off a long time ago...

Welp if it was easy I guess everyone would do it...

One side down... And it was not a fun time... Hopefully no leaking because all of the nuts are as tight as my ratcheting wrench (only thing that fit) could get them...

But hey I finally got the catalytic converters off...

And when I got that final @sshole nut off the manifold this song was playing and their was in fact dancing going on, along with calibration yelling...
