AAM (Altered Atmosphere) Cats: 03-06 Lightly Used...
Good afternoon, My350Z.com:
For sale are a set of Altered Atmosphere high-flow catalytic converters. I used them for approximately 8,000 miles, and then removed them to go a different direction with my exhaust. They have been stored for approximately 3 years. I paid $450.00 for them brand new. I am asking $200.00 (USD). My price includes shipping to a US-based address.
Of interest: (1) These are approximately 5 lbs. lighter than stock (each). Thus, there is a slight weight savings when changing over to these. They're also quite a bit less bulky than the stock cats, as the pictures show.
(2) They add very little noise to your car by themselves. In fact, the only time you can really tell they're there is when you're really on the throttle. Otherwise, they're pretty civilized. If you have an aftermarket exhaust, they may be a little louder, but these are not open pipes.
(3) They do free up a few (emphasis few) horsepower. The best way to describe the feeling is that there is a little better throttle response across most of the power band. It's not a lot, but you can truly feel it.
(4) No hardware or gaskets are included with these. I offer only the converters themselves.
I'm in coastal Long Beach, California. Please feel free to PM any questions to me. I try to get into the forum at least a couple times per day when I have items for sale, so I generally respond quickly. I'm usually on at lunch and in the evening. Paypal is fine for payment, for anyone interested.
Pictures follow. Thanks for checking out my listing!
