Default Branson Z Fest April 20-23.

I thought I'd pass along this information now so you can mark your calendars and make your plans.
This year's Branson Z Fest will be starting Thursday, April 20 thru Sunday, April 23 in Branson, MO. Branson is located about 30 minutes south of Springfield in the scenic Ozark Mountains.
Last years event was huge with Z's coming from Arizona, New Jersey, Michigan, and even Ontario, Canada. Saturday we had over 100 Z's for the car show. This event welcomes all Z's, all generations.
This year's events include a scenic self guided drive Thursday or Friday into the gorgeous mountains of Northern Arkansas. Friday night will be drag nite.
Saturday's events are not firmed up but be assured, something special will be planned!
Please check out www.bransonzfest.com for more information.
Hope to see you there!

Blu Hvn, you must be a traveling salesman. I just sent a request to get this in the events section. Thanks for getting it on the site.

Time again for the best Z meet in the country.
Check out www.bransonzfest.com

Event Dates:
April 20th - 23rd 2006

Host City:
Branson MO. (Click HERE for more info on Branson and other things you can do while at BZF '06.)

Host Hotel:
Quality Inn of Branson
3269 Shepherd of the Hills Expwy.
Branson, MO 65616
(800) 245-3308
(CLICK HERE for additional information about the hotel, the services it offers and it's location.)

Cost of the Event:
A special rate of $50 a night (including all taxes and fees) has been negotiated for Tuesday through Friday nights.

A rate of $89 will cover the cost of Saturday night.

NOTE: These prices are for TWO PEOPLE. Additional charges will be incurred for each additional occupant.

Increased cost of Saturday:
The package price for Saturday also includes the following:

Dinner for each of the occupants in the room. The package price includes standard drinks, dessert, and all taxes and gratuities.

Two drink coupons good for one "basic" beverage during the happy hour gathering on Saturday night.)

All room costs including all associated taxes and fees.

It also helps in the efforts to cover event costs like printing of the ID's, lanyards, creation of the event T-Shirts, web site hosting and give away items.

How to register:
Call the Quality Inn at (800) 245-3308 and let them know you want to register for Branson Z Fest '06! They will take all necessary information and get you registered for the event.

Tnkrstoyco-You know me. Just think who you know in Kansas City with a Daytona Blue Roadster. My 300ZX was the official Ballot Box at last year's Branson Z Fest. We swapped door prizes at Midwest Z Fest in 2004 in Kansas City.
And, yes, I am a traveling salesman.
Sounds like from our board you are helping plan the scenic drive for this year's Branson Z Fest. If it's anything like your Midwest Z Fest it should be fantastic!!
Keep the posts coming. You might also want to post on North Central and Texas. I have. You can't have too much publicity for this great event!

That's why I said you must be a traveling salesman. Still haven't worn that bath robe.
Yes, I have a couple of folks helping on the drive. Just got the maps sent to Pickle and he couldn't run it this weekend(it's bad down here). We are trying to finalize it now, as soon as the roads clear up we'll be checking mileage.
Spoke with GodZilla saturday morning and he was going to put the BZF in the events section. Haven't checked it yet.
Saw where you had been spreading the word.

Spoke with the hotel a few days ago and it seems there have been lots of calls and people making reservations. Hope we pack that place to the max so there's no more room for anyone else. I know I've got 3 rooms this year.

Coming to Branson, but not staying at the Hotel.

Are you coming to the event, but not staying at the hotel?
After spending the past few hours printing off the first batch of a hundred name tags, I came to realize one important thing. About 98% of the people that I have names for are staying at the hotel. I know from experience that we get a MUCH higher percentage of people then that from the surrounding area. We just need to shake a few more registrations out to you guys so we can get your name tags printed.

The two questions that I get most often from event locals are:

What will it cost me if I don't stay at the hotel?
Why should I pre-register for the event?
For starters, here is a quick run down of most of the major event costs:
Approx. $10 per person registration fee.
$20 per adult meal price for the Saturday banquet. (Paid to the hotel.)
$5 per person lunch cost on Saturday for Hot Dogs and Burgers.
Could a person come to the event and not register at all? Yeah.. I suppose that could be done. But you won't get an ID tag, a goodie bag with some GREAT sponsor products, the BZF handouts with maps and other instructions and a chance to win HUNDREDS of dollars worth of give away items during the banquet. (The banquet alone is going to be one heck of a good time. You DON'T want to miss it.)

Why should you register now? To answer that, I offer a glimpse into how banquet management works. We are required to give the restaurant a firm count within a 48 hour period of the banquet. We are also required to provide them with an estimated number of "walk-ups" that they can expect to occur on top of our final list. Once we reach that number YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE RESTAURANT. There is a very simple to avoid this problem.

REGISTER NOW VIA THE EVENT WEBSITE.

Click HERE for a direct link to the registration form!

Be watching for the next full Branson Z Fest news letter to hit your in-box this week. It will be much more of a "general event upate". You won't want to miss it!

Sincerely,

The Branson Z Fest Crew

Ha! I was just about to post that I called and confirmed my reservation up there. And yeah I'm planning on cruising with idwin plus others from LR Friday morning.

Mary from the hotel said there was a lot of reservations for the Z fest already made.. thats encouraging! Now can I borrow someone's helmet for the runs on Friday night??? Preferably a cool one and not one that makes me look like a weiner...

Maybe we could work that in on Friday, since Friday is sort of open. I'll do some checking.
I'll be out most of today so I'll see about it tomorrow.

We've talked about it. It'll be basicaly up to you. If you do want to run it you can, but add up the time involved. Even the shortened version of the drive could take up to 3 or more hours depending. You'd have to be in Branson before 12 noon to do the run and make it to the drags. After driving from LR, do you want to push it that far.

It'll only take us an hour to get to Branson from LR, jk...

this schedule that we are working out doesn't get us out of Russelville until 10AM Friday.
