Damn, what is Devil's Triangle, and is it near the Zday site?

 

honestly first time I will be driving it as well but it should be about the same distance from Knoxville as the Dragon. From discussions my impression more like the Hell Bender.

Oh by the way it is about 35 minutes from the Dragon

Update: 2nd Meeting spot in Oak Ridge

I'm thinking AutoZone/Books-A-Million/Waffle House parking lot, up near the street? (Illinois Ave).
Have you discussed a meeting/leaving time from Northshore-Kroger?
I'm thinking it would take ~15-20 minutes to get to the O.R. AutoZone...

 

The Devil's Triangle is a great road and route, it's about 45 minute ride, most will ride it a couple of times - once each way across the main mountain section. The Cherahola, The Tail of the Dragon and the Devils Triangle can be done in one day if you plan it right. There's another mountain run that is popular an hour or so north of The Dragon - it's call The Snake - another great ride.

I guess I am the first to post about the March ride to the Devil's Triangle, but it was a great time again. The rides get bigger every time. By the time we left Oak Ridge we had 13 cars but definitely was not an unlucky number. Everyone departed safe and sound although I think one car may have had a problem with a vacuum line. Anyway the Devils Triangle in my opinion is rougher than the Dragon. It has curves to rival and the road and lack of shoulder requires All attention forward. The drive seemed to give the cars brakes a heavier toll as well as never before have we had brakes smell like they did today.

Anyway can't wait already for next month's ride. Although, I think for the next ride I am going to hang in back so I can try my other car. Everyone stay tuned for our next ride. Maybe we can keep on making them bigger and better. Maybe the Snake is next!
