Hey you guys

I'd really like hang out w/ you again in a couple of days. It would be nice to see some of the other members and the new guys come out this time around. Last time we tried this, it was a short notice but everyone who wanted to came out w/us, made it.

I cant speak for everyone so lets hear some ideas on where, when you guys wanna meet up. The 17th falls on a Saturday, that would work for me. Id still like to check out the track because I havent been there in yrs, + we all wanna see Jdub vs TJ. (yeah i just went there) TJ you could invite your friends from the coffee and cars thing, ask Steve if wants to come out aswell.

I joined an evo forum cuz I was bored and theres a guy in the bentonville area w/ a badass evo, Ill ask him if he wants to come out. Hopefully this time we'll get reservations for dinner, weather forecast, and ill be on time.

^^^We could do a later date if the 17th doesnt work for you Jeff. How about the 24th then?

Not to single you out but you were the person who put the event together last time. No one responded or showed signs of interest except you, so it would mean alot to me if you made it. (no homo)

If so then ill drop off my car at FSP on the 15th, so it will be ready for the event.

Man I'm so fawkin down to meet up so I can at least compare windshield weather strippin w/ the rest of you all.
I'll actually be departing on the 24th for a 7 day cruise out of Galveston.
The 17th is cool with me brother. Or heck even the 16th after 5p.m.
If the 17th I'd like to catch up early say around noon?

^^^To be honest with you I think it will be hard to coordinate anything on friday. Mostly everyone just wants to get home from work. lol. Saturday at noon works for me, we could all do lunch or something. Did you do your own weather stripping to your windshield?

The guy from the evolutionm.net wrote

"Hey man, thanks for the invite! Yeah, I'm thinking it may be time for a new project, and if I do anything else to my Evo, it will become less and less streetable. Right now, it's mean but easy to drive. If you're ever tooling around the Fayetteville/Springdale area, let me know and I'll show you the car.

--- Brandon "

I dont have access to some of the threads at that forum because of my low/non existing post count. For the most part people on there seem pretty cool. Heres the link to Brandon's evo:
http://forums.evolutionm.net/sale-ca...lly-built.html

The evo was my dream car, but unfortunately they only came in MT. As mentioned b4, I can drive a MT but its very tricky, so I went w/ the AT 350z

Anywho back to the subject, comeonguysiwannahearsomeideas, feedback plz.

I'm betting he got his windshield replaced because all cars owned in TX have their windshields broken about once month. They reused his weatherstripping because using new OEM stuff is like another $100.

Yeap, windshield has been replaced. It doesn't say Nissan on it. The weather stripping is in great shape actually. But I can put my finger nail under the top stripping and pull it damn near completly out.
It needs glue or something cause when I go over 80 it bubbles up that's how I noticed the issue.

The windshield also doesn't have any waves in it. So I suppose it's good too. I'm actually gettin it tinted next week.

Fellas, whenever I romp on the accelerator pedal 50% of the time I get a hint of rotten eggs. It didn't use to do this when I first got the vehicle.
What does this mean? Cats starting to go bad?

are you sure you're not farting alittle? Maybe you're not puckering fast enough with all that massive horsepower.

Outside the car, you'd be talking about the cats. Which could just be that the car runs open loop (emissions) for the first 12+ mins, where you run really rich. If youre getting on it before then, youre dumping alot of unburned gas into your cats.. and they will stink. Over time, you'd want avoid that. but your O2 sensors would throw a code if your cats where a problem.

if youre smelling it in the car, I guess you could have a leak in your flex section but you'd hear that I would think.

Now, if you said oil smell, I'd say look at the rear of the valve covers for a leak. Or burning antifreeze, that would be a whole 'nother thing to look for, but rotten eggs while driving? I'd look for a rotten egg somewhere

Funny you mention burning antifreeze. As this just began to happen around the time that I began to run the ac. I'm guessing that is the culprit. I'll test this theory today on the way home while having my vents turned on but ac turned off and punch it a couple of times after the 12 minute warm up and see if I smell that sulphur/egg smell. Thanks for the tip!

Jeff you talked to me about Saturday? I surely don't remember this.
However, I may be going with all the folks from the other forums to Centerville for the day.
