real
http://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-t...oday-only.html

vs under 1100 for Sterns (19/20)

asked here, not directly answered, only that they are heavier than OEM and PIAA
http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/w...rn-st-1-z.html

PIAA 25lbs in 19", 27lbs in 20"

I couldnt only find the weight of the stern in ST-1 18", it is 26.9. The same size in PIAA is 23lbs. I would guestimate that the stern is going to be a bit over 31 lbs in 20" and 29ish on the 19".

Worth $700 diff? Well, your gonna feel it in handling, but I dunno, its much better than nearly 40 lbs of the others! Lots of happy Z/G owners with Sterns and they can be had in 25 offsets.

Troof. Thanks! Great find! I'm doing the same thing right now. Attempting research. I've PM-ed several members with Stern.

Jesus, so whom here in the rock does stage 3 paint jobs? Last night my roommate and I had to push his VR-4 back in the garage and in doing so his passenger door slammed the crease that the passenger side rear fender and rear bumper meet on my 350. I don't know what we were thinking either. We left the doors open I guess to get a better hold on the B-pillar and totally forgot that there was another car in the driveway. Anywho, he said he'd pay for it but to go get some quotes and his insurance would cover it.

Anywho, being that mine has a flake/pearl paint job Maaco auto body said they wouldn't do it cause they don't have the means of doing a stage 3 paint job. Anybody know what I can do? It also didn't help my rear bumper alignment problem. I had no idea that the factory pikes peak white was a "stage 3"

I feel for ya. Our pathfinder is pearl white as well. I have 2 bottles of touchup and have never been able to get to work. Fear not tho, I know the dealer had to replace Adam's bumper and I really cant tell it was replaced. So, I know they can do it. Although, I think he had to nearly destroy the service manager the first time he went to pick up the car. He wont be back on til late, he just went to work or I'd call and ask him for ya.

Ah, no worries. We figured they're gonna have to remove both the fender and rear bumper... Pop the dent out, sand, paint the whole fender and bumper all over again, and re-mount. I'm just not looking forward to having my car out of commision for 2 days.

BTW the ONLY way your paint will match is if they blend onto other panels, doing drop panels to match the paint will not work w/3 stage paint.

To me that's a good price. Adam what do you think, since you also have the same type of paint I do.

Furthermore, when you sell your Z would you want to switch hatches? I ask cause I want to shave off the hamburger and mine seems to be slightly mis-aligned (as you saw at roadhouse). Anywho, let me know if you are wanting to go back to stock when it comes to that hamburger piece, ect...

I wouldnt be doing any hatch swapping as that would be a real PIA as far as the paint thing goes R&R the rear 1/4 panel? sounds very cheap to me, I would take it to several places and see what they say and get a feel for prices.

at $450, I'd have to see their work. I'd have to see their shop. Ya know, it's the little things like masking the car properly, keeping your car clear of other spraying, making sure they keep your windows up and the inside dust free, making an attempt to keep the dust out of your car, although some is inevitable.. Overall, just having a shop thats clean and organized... but mostly CLEAN! You dont need to have background in body work to know if a shop is clean. If they spray or cure your paint in a dirty shop, you cant expect much. If they spray other cars next to yours, you're going to need $300 worth (or many hours) of clay bar work to remove it. Just go in there and look around, common sense will tell you if they are doing conscientious work or not.
