You are in the wrong place??? I've autox'd a BMW 325i. I've been involved in amateur dirt bike racing. My family and I have been involved in drag racing for years and years. I can drive the wheels off of anything you can give me.

Brad I know for a fact has been to racing school.

Brad said he didn't want to burn through tires and parts on his daily driver. I however haven't had my Z but for two months, and have not had time nor really the money to begin substantial mods with the cost of moving etc.. etc...

But now, you give me a place and a time where I can show up, pay my money, and run the **** out of my car without having to go through rigorous BS, and I'm there.

L-Oh-freakin-L, you havent met us. Honestly, I rarely push my car, but the rest of these guys are totally ***** out. Adam and Brad are pretty legendary with their exploits on the Dragon.. and well, Steve was right there with them. I would imagine their cars get pushed ALOT more than once every other Sunday. Me? I'm all show, very little go. I'll own that, not gonna let my pride write checks I cant cash with tickets and such, so to speak.

I want a shifter kart. I'd rather spend the day in Warren than Centerville.

Wow looks like I hit a spot with that one Just making sure there were still car guys in here

Yes I will be in blytheville this weekend. I'll be in a brickyard colored Z. We are driving up friday evening. Are you going to go? Just PM me...

Believe me...I have nothing wrong with wanting to be all show...and I respect that. I like to race and I love to be competitive. Problem is, around here there is really no one to be competitive with, in the same car. Sure, anna (my better half) daily drives our Z but the Z is more like our play toy. We have beaters to drive if anything were to happen...and I know most don't and don't want to shread though tires or whatnot.

Anyways i'm sure a few of you are getting fed up with me and I can see that. So i'm just going to lay low for a bit and i'll post when i'm going to the track

PS shifter carts FTW!!

I too, am all show. No go. I don't have the money to spend on engine work. I'll do bolt ons. But nothing past that.

Here is a great video I think you all would enjoy. This is what I do on the weekends with my AT. Screw autoX's, drag strips, all that. I crush all of ya'll with my AT shifting skills as seen in THIS VID!

David, no one is getting sick of you bro. Personally I'd like to catch up at an autox and let's run the hell out of these cars.

Steve, we'll wind up going at 11:30. Just let me know what your schedule is like this week and we'll catch up.

Hmmmm i have 2 trophies from centerville import nights in my z first place, and a second place (got beat by a small block 280 z w/slicks) My z has been on tv a few times, one at nopi in memphis where i was interviewed, and the other was on channel 16 local news for street racing. Ive been racing for a lond time but IMO the z is a slow *** car and isnt near as fun as my 10.40 second street mustang was. Im sure all that have really met me and drove around we me know that im not afraid to let it all hang out! And if things go as planned i will be owning a z06 hopefully w/in a year. I would love to go auto x but am not going to spend that kinda of money and beat the chit out of my car like that. I also dont think any auto x will ever compare to driving the dragon, and by all means if you want to go next year im sure you'll see that many of us can and will drive our cars to their limit. Jeff i realize you want all show but that can def be had w/18's and a mild drop. you'd save money, tires would be cheaper and you wouldnt lose any performance, actually you'd gain it in traction, etc. I personally just dont like to see people make choices i know they will regret. Most of us have been there done that and have a very good handle on what works/and doesnt work. steve is right you make your own payment and def have your own opinion but a lil more research on your part or taking some guidance by some of us that KNOW i feel you'd be alot more happy. Hell steve's car is a auto also and his car runs very well. Im used to people not taking my advice but usually i get to or could say i told you so!

haha, you could mount 2 19" Enkei RPF1 for that 1 wheel. Almost 2 LE/TE37s or RE30s...

They dont really talk much about the weight of 2pc Volks, but the bottom line is that any forged barrel with a fastening system for the center is *probably* going to be heavy, but not anywhere near that. Dude, I'm all in a wad about my wheels being 26.x each. I'm telling you, 20 vs 26 is night and day, not just accelerating, but turning and braking as well. Well, I guess this is where very expensive wheels come in, forged wheels will not only be stronger but they can usually use less material to achieve the same design.

I can promise you that the first time you take those wheels down the street, you'd go "WTF is wrong with my car??!" I know where youre coming from on the style you want and I'm not saying this from a "its a sports car, dont hurt the performace" angle either. 70lbs of wheel and tire are gonna SUCK like you cannot believe. Hell, I challenge you to even try to mount one of those. Seriously, I'd get a hernia trying to dead lift those and align them to the lugs. God only knows how hard that will be on your wheel bearings.

really, see if you can find something you like under 30lbs. (yuck). I dont *think* its going to cost much more, youre just gonna have to look alittle harder.
