I wouldnt take an offramp at speed with that. probably ok for a parking lot..but I could see that thing rolling right off the rim under extreme enough conditions at high speed.

The tire will not come off...The bead is set and its not going anywhere. Now streched tires I can see them unbeading off the wheel. But I wouldn't want to run that big of a street tire on that small of a wheel for daily driving...

The bigger events we should stay around 65mph(max)...

We will see how it works though. Last year we had 275's all around and it was awesome

So guys I was wanting to do some minor cosmetic things to the Z while I decide on the bigger items still. I was wanting to paint my emblems, the Nissan on the front bumper and hatch, and my plenum. Any recommendations on the paints or clears to use? For the plenum I know I need a adhering primer, I think that's what it's called, and high heat paint and clear. For the outside parts do I just need regular spray paint and a good clear?

Zach im starting to think you dont search at all!
emblems = rattle can made for plastics, sand them down, clean well, paint. I did one for steve in black maybe he can take a pic and post it?
plenum = IMO Azz unless you sand in completely smooth then paint it. but if you insist on painting it, i would scrub it clean, scotch brite pad it, clean it again, oh did i mention clean it then paint it w/some engine enamel. I've always wanted to use one of my polished ones the get it powder coated translucent black kinda like the black chrome on the turbonetics kit.

I do to search! And I actually see a lot of your posts on the threads I've read on the matter and you haev actually had better advice than the OP of the thread. That's why I asked here.

Also, Davidb what is the gain from dumping your exhaust? Was just wondering about that today. Does it hurt hp due to no backpressure? I've read that about some exhausts, don't know if it's right but have read a little and researched on it. If that's the case is it just weight loss benefit? Just curious.

Well the main reason I did it was for weight. But anna's car did pick up .2 at centerville. It was even 10 degrees hotter when it went .2 faster. Its very consistant since its an auto. Before the exhaust it was running 11.7-11.8. Then with the exhaust mod I was running consistant 11.5's.

My car with no cats, no muffler and pop charger leaves annas car like its nothing.

Zach i can paint the emblems for ya for a fee If you arent planning on taking off the plenum i wouldnt paint it. but i could do that also. BTW i worked in a bodyshop and even painted some on aircrafts

I think the paint to use for the emblems is krylon fusion for plastics if i remember correctly? Steve's came out real nice i know.

So I'm in Indy....

Granted I moved in 15 degree weather Tuesday, and drove through 2ft of snow north of Memphis Saturday.... It's 63 right now... Got the windows open and my car is cleaned up... But I've got a hellacious cold.

Adam can fix you up nicely on any painting you need............my emblem turned out awesome...as far as the plenum I would have it polished, has alot of bling effect and looks clean....
